  • I Assure You, You'll Like these Tires

May 24, 2006 by scmrak is a Lead on Epinions in Cars & Motorsports
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: great wet and dry handling, relatively quiet, long tread life
Cons: slightly less great handling on snow and ice, or so I've heard

Summary: If the truth be told, I was never overly fond of the OEM tires that came on our 2002 Honda CR-V. Those Bridgestone Dueler H/Ts may have been a little more to my liking had I still lived in Colorado's relatively dry climate, but in Texas where I could ... read more

  • Great for 35K miles, but DON'T believe the 80K warranty

Pros: Awesome in the rain & Good in the snow (at least while you have tread)
    Cons: Terrible tread life
    Average road noise

Summary: These tires really are great in the rain (we live in the Seattle area) but only for the first thirty-five to fourty thousand miles. I only have 47K miles on these and they are about to need replacement!  According to Goodyear, these tires are ... read more

  • Not worth buying!

    Pros: Good wet/rain grip
    Cons: Bad tread wear
    Bad winter traction
Noisy at pretty much all speed, especially freeway.

Summary: I initially put these on my 2008 Ford Taurus X as a replacement to the stock tires.  I was getting terrible snow traction and control with the original tires.  I did my research and checking around and these seemed to be a great upgrade, ... read more

    Oct 28, 2011 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Life, handling, tread,value
    Cons: Initial cost, LOUD

Summary: The Goodyear Tripletreds were pricier than other comparable tires, but had an 80,000 mile treadware rating and I tend to go towards long term value. The previous tires I had were rated at 60,000, but only lasted 48,000 they said due to bad ... read more

    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Good in in all weather conditions (dry, wet and especially snow).
Cons: Dangerously defective (cracks on inner sidewall). Please beware and pay close attention.

Summary: I am returning these tires to Discount Tires. After some two (plus) years, one tire developed a slow leak that progressively got worse over time. I sent my wife to the garage, anticipating a simple flat repair. The garage called and stated they could not ... read more

Pros: Nice tread design.  Good for the first two years and after that are nolonger safe.
Cons: Sidewall thickness is too thin causing blowouts

Summary: I purchased a set of these Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread tires because of the 80,000 mile warranty, and the claim they say they are quieter than others on the market for my 2003 Chevy Impala LS.  I am very disappointed with these tires.  ... read more

  • One amazing tire

    Feb 5, 2011 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: It does what it says regarding inclement weather driving.
Cons: Was more than I was expecting to pay.  Dont' care now.

Summary: Last year I bought a low-mileage 2000 Chrysler LHS to replace a high-mileage 1998 Dodge Intrepid I'd bought new.  Same car basically, which is why I bought the LHS.  The tires needed replacing, and my long-time Goodyear outlet recommended their ... read more

  • Waste of Time & Money

    Jun 27, 2010 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Good handling in rain and snow when tread was brand new
Cons: Treads wore out in less than two years under normal driving conditions; COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE

Summary: I checked the reviews before I bought Goodyear Assurance TripleTred tires because they came with a high pricetag. I wanted tires that were going to last 80,000 miles because I do a lot of Michigan freeway driving and wanted that extra security on the ... read more

    Pros: None
Cons: Sidewalls are soft and prone to blow-outs.  Tread wears down 75% faster than it should.

Summary: I don't know if I'm the only one, however, my luck with the Goodyear TripleTred has been very disappointing.  I'm a very careful driver, however, since I've had a set of four TripleTreds installed a little over two years ago, I've had to replace all ... read more

    Pros: Price.
Cons: Poor handling in the rain and fast, uneven tread-wear.

Pros: Attractive, Good on wet roads. Nothing else pos.
Cons: SCAREY BAD IN SNOW. Un-stable!!

Summary: Reading all 5 star reviews Ive come to realize most of these reviewers ar running home from their tire store and writing a pos. review. This results in an overall false rating of these tires. Wish I knew this before I used this forum as a source of info ... read more

Pros: Great wet weather performance, great tread wear, a reasonable price.
Cons: Over time, they become much too noisy. You will learn to hate them.

  • Do not buy these tires

    Dec 29, 2007 by

Pros: quiet ride and great traction
    Cons: vibrations and defective tires.

Summary: I purchased these tires new 1 1/2 years ago. After 15,000 miles, I got a bad vibration. The mechanic stated one tire he could not make balanced, and Goodyear replaced it. Now, after a long trip and 35,000 miles on the van I have a severe ... read more

    Jan 21, 2007 by

Pros: Great traction on dry and damp pavement.
Cons: Hard to "feel" the road, average traction in puddles/snow, helpless on ice.

Summary: ***Recent Update on Bottom*** I've owned a set of these tires for over 9,000 miles and driven in different road conditions, now I feel qualified to write a review on these... I paid $671.47 for four and installed. I own a FWD 1998 Cadillac ... read more
