Pros: Gripping ability makes them perfect for off- road handling; Low noise; Handsome appearance Cons: High price; Not practical for most vehicles
Summary: Shopping for tires can be frustrating and confusing. There are so many different tires on the market and the numeric markings can add even more stress to an already difficult buying decision. I have been looking at tires recently to replace the ones on ... read more

Pros: the price definately Cons: low 60,000 mile warranty
Summary: First of all let me say I used to sell tires at my old job. This particular tire was one of our best sellers. The Goodyear Wrangler tires are a pretty good all around truck and SUV tire and you can buy them at a good price. Of course there is a whole lot ... read more

Pros: Excellent construction, good traction, high mileage. Cons: Not a hard-core tires for serious enthusiasts.
Summary: I am an avid hard-core off-roader. My truck is built for off-road only yet is legal enough to pass inspection. I am also part of a large group of 4-wheelers who own their own courses and build their own trucks. We run rocks, mud, sand, everything. My ... read more

Pros: Outstanding traction, indestructable offroad, fantastic handling Cons: Very soft compound that wears WAY too quickly
Summary: I had 285/75/16's mounted on my 2000 Silverado. I loved everything about these tires except for 1 thing... the wear rate. I drove just over 30,000 miles before I was down to the wear bars. I rotated them every 5,000 miles, so the wear was really even, ... read more

Pros: Excellent rock crawling capabilities. The three ply sidewall makes the tire indestructable Cons: Wears quickly, excessive noise on the highway
Summary: The MTR is one of the best offroad tires on the market. But it is a purely offroad tire. Working in a tire shop, I have seen MTR last as long as 50 thousand miles, but more often than not gone at around 20. As an owner of a 1990 Jeep Wrangler, I have ... read more

Pros: These tires have a nice aggressive look thats about the only good thing about them. Cons: Horrible tread life at 12,000K miles!!!! They are loud & the side wall split twice!
Summary: I bought put 285/70/17 tires on my Ford F150 EXT 4X4 and wished I never bought these tires. I had the sidewall spilt on 2 tires within the first 6 months. They replaced the first one for free and made me pay a pro-rated portion for the second tire. This

Pros: Great dirt and mud traction Decent tread life if not pushed on concrete Cons: Became noiser at > 50% wear Poor fuel mileage Rotate or swap front tires L-R often
Summary: I'm ready to take these off with good tread left, but they have 40,000 miles already. Used 265R16 on front, 235R16 on rear of 4x4 dually, which worked very well. Definitely not a cornering tire, so expect lots of wear and noise if you use

Pros: Great when new. Cons: Low tread life
Summary: I have the MTR's on a 99 2wd Ford Ranger (30x9.5). I love the offroad traction and think its one of the toughest tires I've ever had. But, they have 25,000 miles and are toast. I don't know if it is the Florida heat or the soft compound but I am going

Pros: Puncture proof, aggressive off road Cons: way to LOUD, way to SOFT, didn't last 20,000 miles, expensive
Summary: I am in the market for a new set of off-roads less than two years after purchasing my MTR's. They didn't make it 20,000 miles. Very tough and aggressive and puncture resistant. Very loud on the highway, I will not be disappointed to get rid of

Pros: Good traction tire, works well at low pressure Cons: Wears away too quickly, a bit pricy
Summary: I've got 30x9.5-15 MTRs on my 1992 Chevy Blazer, and the tires have just over 3000 miles on them, but the tread is still in good condition. I take care of these tires though, and they perform great offroad. Though my 4wd doesn't work (I didn't know it at

Pros: Less expensive than other equivalent tires.
Excellent in mud and snow. Cons: Only average at best for on road use.
Summary: I purchased my Wrangler MTR's (265 75 16) almost 2 years and 40,000 miles ago. They are extremely capable off-road, especially when it comes to mud and snow. I agree with other reviews here in that they are only average for on-road use, but wonder about

Pros: Unbeatable and indestructible off road! (so far) And they look awesome... Cons: Low tread wear, louder than some MTs, less road control than some MTs.
Summary: These MTRs came from the factory on my 2003 Jeep Rubicon. After many years riding on BFG ATs and MTs, I will have to admit that this is a superior tire when it comes to the rocks and desert roads. Aired down, they grip like no other! I have just over 1
