Pros: Seems to wear better than earlier editions Cons: Replacement costs are astronomical
I have owned 4 Jeeps and all of them came with Wrangler tires. I must admit that I have never replaced these tires with Wranglers. I have been sorely disappointed in how these tires seemed to wear unevenly and felt that the wear has been much faster...
Pros: I'm a pro and plugging or changing flat tires in challenging situations. Cons: I didn't want to be a pro at changing tires on a brand new truck.
These are the worst tires I've ever seen (and owned - unfortunately). They came stock on my 2007 Chevy Silverado Hybrid 4x4. I'm now on my 5th flat tire in less than 6000 miles. It's at a point now where I won't head down a gravel road without a ...
Pros: Cheaper than comparable tires from other makers Cons: Hard to balance. Jittery ride on some vehicles.
My 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee came with Goodyear Wrangler STs as orignal equipment. I noticed a vibration between 65-70 mph after the first 250 miles. I was not alarmed and figured a visit to the dealer to balance the tires would do the trick. I was wrong....
Pros: none Cons: 3 our of 4 tires will undergo sudden catastrophic failure = roll-over & death
At about 12K miles, within a months time, 3 tires underwent catastrophic tire failures! Despite having low mileage and little tread wear, internal degradation of the sidewall belts caused the tread to completely separate from the remaining tire ...
Pros: They are round and keep shocks from hitting ground Cons: Just about everything, handing ,wear, traction
These tires were OEM for my 2002 Silverado.
They are passable on dry pavement. In wet or snowy
conditions they are useless. Cornering they squeal,
in rain they hydroplane. I have replaced them at
10375 miles (16730 kms) because they...
Pros: Good tire from a reputable maker Cons: not the greatest in the rain
As far as tires go, I guess these are pretty good in most aspects. I have put 20K miles on mine and have not had any sort of problem with quality of build. They are a quiet tire, and have performed well when pushed into corners (as well as to be...
Pros: Nothing good about these tires Cons: Hydro planes in light rain, not a truck tire
Sidewall blew out making a left hand turn from a dead stop, 1400 miles on tires at the time. Dealer would not even look at the tire, said Goodyear claims Road Hazard on all of them
These tires came standard on my 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport. Yesterday I woke up to find my first flat after 34,000 miles. Plus, I've never rotated them.
I've driven these tires through all sorts of weather: Texas heat, northern ice, and rain and they've never let me down. Today I'll be checking prices to buy the same!
Pros: everything, (but not tried off-road) Cons: none
I've had no problems with mine. They came standard equipment on my 99 Grand Cherokee. They now have 90,000 KM (55,000 Mi) on them and I'm looking to replace them with the same thing. I find it very interesting how many others have found that they are pure crap.
I'm in the market for tires already after only 23,000 miles.
My Dakota came equipped with the Wranglers and I've never liked them. Noisy, hydroplane problems and extremely short tread life. Stay Away!!
Absolutely Horrible. Very Unsafe by mrjaod ,Apr 23 '05
Pros: Though they are black and somewhat round, don't confuse with real tires Cons: too many to mention
These tires came with my "03 Chevy Silverado. At 15k miles it looked like they had 40k miles on them. They were terrible on wet roads, especially when merging. When I had tires rotated at 20k miles, the mechanic told me not to rotate because the best tires were already on the front. Please note that I do not drive aggressively. I know it is a truck and not a sportscar and I drive accordingly. I was afraid to take my kids in the truck for fear that it might rain. Tires would also squeal at speeds of about 5mph when making turns in parking lots. These are true to their name "GoodYear"...they are good for a year. Look elsewhere and research your tires before buying. I replaced them with BFG Long Trails and I like them much more, so far. So, in conclusion, the treadlife on these tires are about as good as my kids' bicycle tire and they are slicker than whale snot in the rain. VERY UNSAFE, in my opinion. Chevy needs to look at changing these as OEM tires to something safer.
