Pros: print quality, ease of use Cons: took forever for HP to figure out the problem
Update 4-22-01
Numerous additional phone calls and emails to HP still have not produced the desired results but we do seem to have our HP OfficeJet working correctly. My husband recently reformatted our hard drive and reinstalled Win...
Pros: printer, copier Cons: scanning is near impossible
I have recently had the chance to use the HP Office Jet G55/G55XI. Basically this machine is said to be a copier, a printer and a scanner all in one. Thus far, I have been somewhat impressed by some of the functions of the machine; however, others have...
Pros: HP quality, fast and excellent printouts, and easy to use. Cons: Expensive HP paper and ink, limited to 8 1/2" wide paper, and problematic USB setup.
Why I bought this printer.
I bought this printer because as a web designer, I needed a good color printer as well as a good scanner. Note that I said "good" not "best"...if you want the best, you could easily spend thousands of dollars for a...
Pros: Good quality inkjet printer and color copier Cons: Worthless as a scanner - the software STILL doesn't work with Win2000
Like others who have reviewed this unit, I have experienced over 2 years of frustration trying to get a working scanner. As a printer, this unit is great (tho overly large). My wife loves the copier functions - it makes clean, clear copies. Like all...
Pros: Simple to use all-in-one machine, great quality Cons: jams with multiple envelopes
This was my first big ticket computer-related purchase ever. (Recently divorced a computer guru who made all those decisions) I was so pleased with this thing! It makes excellent color copies, very quickly. That's right - you stick a photo on the...
Pros: Excellent quality in almost every area Cons: Minor glitches in scanning and OCR software
At first time, I just wanted to buy a cheap color printer
for my kids. But then I realized that we also need a scanner
since we have big pile of pictures to scan. And I didn't want
to install two big hardware connected to the PC and to...
Pros: Great print quality, good color, easy to use Cons: s-l-o-w scanning
I bought my OfficeJet G55xi at CostCo about four months ago for an incredible $380. I don't have huge amounts of money to spend on this stuff so I like getting a lot for a little--and that's what the G55 does for me.
Pros: good price, great quality of copying and printing Cons: some problems with scanning
The device is a peculiar hybrid of the ink printer and scanner, that is underlined by complicated form of body, on which the scanning the module is selected. This is rather exotic solution.
The initialization of the device happens very fast...
Pros: excellent value for the money Cons: Gives my office personnel no excuses for not completing projects in a timely fashion!!
Being a Corporate Officer of a new company with limited start-up capital, it is imperative that money NOT be spent twice. I do not believe in spending money on something now that will be outdated within 6 months or a machine that will not be able to...
Pros: Quality of scans, prints and copies are great. Cons: Some serious driver issues (hopefully
in the past)
I bought this unit about a year ago. At that time, Windows
2000 was pretty new and many peripherals didn't have
software and drivers to support it. This unit was one of
those devices. This was ascertained after I received this
...
Pros: features, speed, resolution, efficiency Cons: cost of ink
My first printer was a Canon which smeared my printouts, printed with all color ink so that the black was actually purple and was so slow that it actually took less time to hand write the documents. After that I purchased an HP.. that was one of the...
Pros: Less costly than buying all functions separately Cons: Needs it's own printer table or side table
I am a BIG fan of my OfficeJet G55 all-in-one printer/copier/scanner machine. I am running Windows 98 on a Pentium III 733 HP Pavilion computer. Here is what I have been using it for:
Reprinting photos (snapshots): My wife asked me to...
Pros: Good (intended) multifunctionality in a single device. Decent InkJet copier Cons: Scanning software for Windows 2000 is worthless, scanner seldom works, you'll waste much time
This review pertains to installing the G55 on Windows 2000. I cannot comment if it works any better on other platforms, but unless your into living in computer purgatory, I do not recommend this unit on Windows 2000.
My HP OfficeJet G55 Series, Fly's like a Jet! If you don't own one of this baby's, I would recommend it to you 100%, why buy three pieces, when you can have it all in one machine, even less wire's to hide.
This is a great machine that can do so much! It scans with a great resolution, does color and black copies, and prints like any other printer. It is really easy to change the cartridges, and put in new paper. It doesn’t take up too much room. It sits on...
Hard Krome Slash-Cut Staggered Duals Exhaust System Visually stunning in looks and performance; a combination of classic beauty and cutting edge. Doublewall technology. Feature large 2.5n++ diameter dou...
