Pros: Almost never jams; Long lasting ink Cons: Tight lower tray; Upper tray pulls through multiple sheets at a time
Many manufacturers make printers and some companies are known exclusively for their expertise in this area. I have used printers from many different companies over the years, with Lexmark, IBM, Canon, and Epson listed among the brand names I am familiar ...
Pros: reliability, great quality, great speed, easy to use software Cons: paper tray has trouble fitting sometimes
HP LaserJets in General
I have had wonderful experiences with these types of printers and am conviced that there isn't a better product out there than HP LaserJets. If ever I had to get on my soapbox for a product that hasn't saved my...
Pros: Durable, easy to use, excellent printing! Cons: They don't Make Them Anymore
Every now and then a company gets something absolutely right and then they tweak it and basically ruin their good thing. Take Windows 3.11, for instance. Everything you wanted was right there on the screen, you could turn the computer on and off and...
Pros: Quality print, quick start, easy to install Cons: Envelope tray accepts only about 15 envelopes
I have purchased my 6p from ebay as used. The paper count on it was about 15,000. When I received the machine it looked brand new and worked without a hitch. Installed quick without any problem. I was amazed at how quickly it started up. I also have...
Pros: Prints with extreme clarity and accuracy Cons: First feed tray sometimes jams or won't load
The HP LaserJet 6P is a good buy for many reasons. First and foremost, the laser quality printer prints with extreme clarity eliminating any fussy edges. Although it is black an white, it prints excellently in grayscale mode, and you don't have to...
I bought this printer used at an office sale. From the test page, I found that it had printed only 300 pages. It seems extremely durable and judging from my past experiences with HP laser printers should last a long time. It prints 600 dpi up to 8...
Pros: Great, fast printing! Barely face any problems. Cons: Sometimes is stops, but that can be fixed easily.
Why use slow printers that take minutes to print one sheet of paper? This problem is over! The HP Laser Jet 6p is the best laser jet printer. This printer is fast, durable, and hardly ever has any technical problem. The ink lasts a long time and each ...
Pros: Probably the best printer ever made Cons: None
With over 55,000 pages on my HP6P it has never seen a service shop. The print quality is excellent. I probably paid about $USD1200 for this when it was new. It still looks and works as well today as it did on day one.
If you could find one like mine second hand and just need black and white printing, I think you'd be more than pleased.
This, without a doubt, is one of HP's best efforts, far and away from the 5L and 6L absolute peices of crap that followed. There might be a better product but this printer is one of the premier printers I have ever owned and still is cheap and economical to run. I have owned this product since it was new and it has outlasted all the other printers including my ultra expensive Xerox.
