The screen in my Hewlett Packard zt1175 died exactly one week after my warranty expired. This is unacceptable. I took exceptional care of this thing. I did purchase the Best Buy 3 yr warranty, only to find out that they have no official policy as to how long they will commit to fixing a dead screen - they said it would be at least 3-4 weeks. The Best Buy salesperson who sold me this laptop convinced me that if anything went wrong with the laptop, the extra warranty plan would cover having it repaired at my home... The Best Buy salesperson lied to me!!! That is completely unnecessary and awfully annoying - who can afford to be without their laptop for over a month???

Would I recommend this laptop? NO

Would I recommend HP? NO. Awful customer support. Also, the Hewlett Packard 3420 printer which I purchased to use with this laptop stopped working about 6 months. This is simply unacceptable AND extremely annoying. I could not recommend HP to anyone.

Would I recommend Best Buy? NO WAY. Best Buy would not apologize to me for the fact that their salesperson lied to me when making the sale.
