Pros: Low Price, Reputable Brand. Most of the features you would need for basic digital photography. Cons: No optical zoom; low internal memory; bulky; LCD screen very poor in low light situations
I purchased this camera brand new on an eBay auction for US$62.00 which I thought was a great price for a 2.1 megapixel camera with an LCD display and a reputable brand name to boot. I'm not one of these early adapters who must have everything when it is ...
Pros: Easy to use, video clip feature, takes great snapshots Cons: if you are looking for a professional quality than this isn't recommended
Hewlett-Packard Photosmart 320 Digital Camera
My husband and I bought this camera because we have a baby on the way and just want something around the house to capture those special moments. I am a graduate of an AAS in Photography so...
Pros: Simply to use. Cons: Read my testimonial, I have this camera!
This review is intended for who wants to buy an used HP320 camera or even a new one. I'm not a professional photograph, and all that I will write here is according to my 2 years experience with this camera. 1 - If you want to take photos where the flash ...
Pros: Great for sharing online, easy to edit, reasonable price, includes 8 MB memory Cons: Lack of clear zoom capability
I bought my hp photosmart 320 in February 2003 primarily for e-mailing and uploading to the web, and the 2.1 megapixels are more than enough for great-looking onscreen images. You can select from 3 levels of resolution and use the one you ...
Pros: lightweight, compact, USB cables included, prints directly to HP printers w/ computer Cons: eats batteries, only 2.1MP
This is my fist digital camera, which I bought at OfficeMax for $129.99 - on sale. Got it home, took it out of the box, and in 10 minutes I was printing my pics on my Deskjet 3420. This is what I like about all HP products - they're powerful, yet simple...
Pros: Good for a first time digital camera user. Cons: Poor zoom. Lack of memory.
I bought this camera as part of an HP package. hp deskjet 3420 and the camera for $150.00 total. I still think I got a bargain.
I AM A FIRST TIME DIGITAL CAMERA USER. I was told to look for 2.1 MP or higher. This camera has 2.1MP, LCD...
Pros: Great photo quality, makes even me look like a pro Cons: Printing software is long and involved, bring a snack. :)
This is a fun little camera to use. The photos turn out great, and I love the Thirty second video option!!! I can take great pictures of the kids, (you gotta love instant gratification) indoors or out. I won't win any awards with my pictures, but I will...

Pros: Very simple interface with computer and printer. Fairly compact. Cons: Uses up batteries fairly quickly.
The HP Photosmart320 camera is simple to set up and use the software. The review, zoom, and timer features are adequate for most purposes. Photo quality is good, but not quite professional quality. Transferring pictures to your computer is as easy as...
Pros: small, compact easy to use Cons: battery door won't stay closed - not much use that way
I like the camera - but the battery door doesn't stay closed if there are batteries in the camera. With batteries in the camera, even duct tape won't hold the battery door closed. Rubber bands won't keep the battery door closed if there are batteries...
Pros: Great zoom, red eye reduction Cons: No sound on movies, :30 limit on movies
While the title of this review may seem negative, in reality, I am pleased with this camera. There are some pros and cons to the camera. That is what I will concentrate on. Negative first.
Pros: Easy to use, good quality, great for snap shots. Cons: Only 2x or 4x zoom, increasing zoom decreases quality, battery life.
The HP Photosmart 320 Digital Camera is a great family camera. With just the click of one button you have a digital good quality picture you can print out or email. The camera is average size and weight for a digital and the 1.5" lcd screen is great ...
Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart 320 Digital Camera by glacy1 ,May 17 '04
Pros: HP Photosmart 8881 camera dock, with re-chargeable batteries and memory card available. Cons: No really good zoom feature. Did not do well in dimly-lit Shoshone Ice Cave.
I purchased this camera and was so delighted with it that I purchased one for my son as well. I purchased the extra memory card, about the size of a postage stamp, which gives me over 1300 low-resolution shots of email size photos (1 star) clear to high resolution photos (3 stars), taking up to about 130 hi-resolution photos without downloading them in-between. I also separately purchased the HP Photosmart 8881 camera dock, which comes with re-chargeable batteries. It recharges the batteries while they're still inside the camera and allows easy download and emailing of the photos. I could not be happier with the quantity and quality of the photos, for normal photo taking. I have never maxed out the memory card yet.
Unfortunately, taking photos when it's dark, such as in a dimly-lit cave was a waste of time. (Took my grandkids on a road trip to the Shoshone Ice Cave.) It was also unable to effectively zoom so that I could focus on a wild animal that we spotted. I lucked out and got it as a special package deal:$150, with a $100 PhotoSmart printer, $150 camera. I saved $100 by purchasing the packaged set.
Pros: Affordable, decent pics for the price. Accepts SD cards. Very simple camera to use. Cons: Slow to write to memory, cheap feeling, no lens cap. Poor low light capability.
I have had my HP 320 digital camera for almost three years. It makes for a good entry level digital camera, and is a good investment for those who just want something to have for capturing the moment.
Obviously, you will not get the same features or quality as a camera that costs twice as much... but then again, those cameras are twice as expensive! Makes decent pics for emailing, and the quality settings can be set for good 4x6's, and I have even printed some decent 8x10's.
I have never been a fan of HP products, mind you, but this camera has so far outlasted most of my other HP items (including my $1800 laptop!!). All in all, a worthy investment for a family camera to use.
Pros: excellent quality, easy to use Cons: battery drains quickly, night time shots must be taken close, lil heavy.
Well, this is my first Digital Camera and i have taken over 450 pics. I have developed some pictures at futureshop and they turned out Amazing. And i bought my camera factory refurbished.
A great camera at a great price! by jonigirl ,Oct 23 '03
Pros: Great price, great pictures, easy to use. Cons: No sound with the video clips.
I really love this camera! After coupon codes and rebates, I only paid $74! It takes the BEST pictures. We took ours to Disney World last month, and got the better shots than the pros take in the park! I have printed 8X10 pictures that are now framed and on the wall. The prints are not pixelated or blurry - and the colors are so vibrant!
I can't get the avi videos clips to playback on my computer - but I am working on it. I wish the avi's included sound, however.
I bought this camera last Christmas for taking pictures of my newborn son. I can send pictures to everyone in my family without even using a stamp. I love the camera. It is extremely easy to use and the pictures are of excellent quality!
You will love the HP Photosmart 320 digital camera
Pros: Price, monitor built-in, video-capable Cons: Hard on batteries
Happy with this camera - considering what a camera with this quality would've cost a year or so ago, it's a bargain. Not all the bells and whistles of the high-end digital cameras, but excellent for pics for webs and sharing.
Yes, it is cheap.. In more ways then one. by used2it ,Nov 19 '05
Pros: Well, it does take pictures.. And it's cheap. Cons: Eats Batteries, focus is garbage, plastic lens is ~too~ cheap and scratches easily, don't bother.
Put it this way. If you want to take pictures of your Aunt Mabel's cookie jar so you can list it on ebaY, this camera may be for you. However, if you want a camera that will produce pictures suitable for printing, look elsewhere. I've used quite a few 2MPixel cameras, and this one is my least favorite. The digital zoom is a joke, the camera will not clearly focus on anything closer then 4' (so forget about photographing small objects), it eats batteries for lunch (even 2300mAh niMh), and in anything less then brightly lit rooms, the exposure times go so long that a tripod is a must, otherwise your picture will be nothing but a blur. At the same pricepoint, there are better offerings from kodak, fuji, and canon. The video clip mode is more of a gimmick, but it does what is advertised. Don't expect to shoot any videos in anything approaching a low light condition however.
Pros: It takes pictures... Cons: Not enough memory space. Bad quality. No zoom options.
This digital camera was improved on before it even was on the shelf to be sold. It is big and bulky. As well as simple. You can only hold a small number of photo's on here, not to mention the options for clarity and zoom are pathetic. Buying this camera for a 13 year old may be the only real use for this camera. I am 19 years old and purchased it because it was reasonably priced and seemed up to par, but honestly if I had known how weak it was compared to the thousands of other cameras I would have put out the extra money for the extra features. Keep shopping, although this digital camera is one of the cheapest, its not worth it, its worth it to just throw up the money for something more hi-tech.
Pros: Good pictures,Easy to use, good value Cons: Digital close up not great, software not as good as Kodak's software
I first purchased a kodak digital camera that i loved but had to bring back to the store because it was faulty, got my money back because there was no more Kodak's in stock so I got this HP 320 Digital camera, so far it works great, the pictures are coming out great, for the price you can't ask for better it works for me as an amateur shutter bug and a beginner at digital pictures.

Very pleased with camera. I have used 35mm SLRs for 40 years and wanted to try a digital camera. Bought the camera on sale at a retail office supply for $97.00! Pictures are sharp with contrast and resolution. I was shooting pictures within 20 minutes after I brought it home. I like the preview features, the ability to delete unwanted pictures and size (can carry in pocket). I would recommend this camera to anyone that is interested in getting started with a digital camera.

I brought the camera home and was taking pics withing 15 minutes. My six year old was taking them in 20 minutes. We were both uploading and viewing on pc in 30 minutes. I think I paid too much...149 bucks

I purchased the hp320 because of lower price, and returned it yesterday because of poor picture quality on all three settings. The only
pictures that were even close to clear were pictures close ups at approx. 3' away. maybe I just got a defective camera, who knows
MY WIFE AND I WANTED TO TRY THE DIGITAL ERA, SO WE PURCHASED THIS CAMERA, AND FOUND IT TO TAKE GREAT PICTURES FOR THE HOME COMPUTER. THE RESOLUTION OBTAINED WITH THIS CAMERA IS THE BEST.
the camera is so easy... by debbie_dt3003 ,Jan 03 '03
the camera is so easy to use,and is not unaffordable. I feel like it is simple to operate and the quality of the camera is better quality than a 35mm camera. The prints are easy to download on my computer and easy to print. I also purchased the hp photosmart 7350 and enjoy it as well.
I was very impressed with the ease of use. This is my first digital camera and bought it at a very attractive sale price of only $129 at a local (yet well known office products retailer). The only problem so far was a lock up the first time I used it, which was corrected by opening the battery compartment. This corrected the problem with no loss of pictures previously taken.
This plastic toy can produce... by samara_dt3000 ,Feb 11 '03
This plastic toy can produce great images, sometimes comparable with ones made by high-end cameras (I also have 4 meg Olympus Camedia).
The colors are amazing, but don't attempt to make pictures at night - the flash is not realy powerfull one.
Although it has kind of cheap look (can you expect a high tech apearance from $100 camera?),
overall performance is very good.
Best value for the price.
I got the camera and an HP 3420 printer together at a great price. This is my THIRD digital camera because I kept try to buy a camera in my "price range". Finally a good camera for a little over $100. The 2 previous cameras were awful. No LCD in back. No zoom ,no flash, Every single picture was blurry & dark. Not with the HP I have not taken a bad picture yet. And even if I do I can delete right on the spot. I am very very very pleased I feel I got a tremdous deal for the money. I can finally be proud of my digital pictures! And I didn't have to be a rocket scientist to use it.

I am very pleased with the ease of use, and the quality of the pictures. I took a picture of 3 racoons that had come up on my porch to eat the cat's food. I could see every hair on them. I really like this camera. I highly recomend the HP 320.

Can't beat this price for a digital camera. And HP makes it all so simple - you get a camera with a selection of picture quality - GOOD, BETTER, BEST - and I shot the same pics from all three and couldn't tell the difference. The timer works well and you can aim easily from the screen on the camera. And the screen doesn't need to be visible unless YOU want it to be. Saves battery power. Downloading is a snap. My old Nikon took 5-6 minutes to download a few pictures. The HP takes seconds - and erases the pictures from the camera IF you want it to. Would like to have had the extra card come with it, but that is a minor item. This camera is worth twice the price.
Can't miss with this camera.... by aupaps_dt3000 ,Dec 22 '02
Can't miss with this camera. One of the better values in the market. I tested another, more expensive camera, and the quality and ease of use was nowhere close to the HP320. My first digital and I am totally happy with it.
I needed a camera for quick and easy shots and this one does it. I had it all set up and was taking and saving pictures in a less than an hour. Its so simple that with some direction even a child could use this camera. But the quality of the pictures are first rate for such an inexpensive camera.
