I'm not particular about brands of coffeemakers. I've used several different brands. We just drink a lot of coffee. I have had the Hamilton Beach #47665 for, at most, 6 months.
The water container is awkward to handle and the scale is useless in determining the level of coffee/water in the water container. But those drawbacks were worth the ease of conveniently drawing a cup of good tasting coffee. The reason I threw this coffeemaker into the trash was that it started to leak. As the leaking become worse, I found that the screws around the hotplate were no tight. I tightened them, but it didn't help. The last time I used this item, half of my pot of coffee was on the kitchen counter, in the drawers beneath the counter and on the floor. I happened to have the box the product came in. It said,
MADE IN CHINA. Enough said.

This pot served me well. i probably paid just under $50 for it. However the past few months, I notice that it leaks coffee all over the coutnertop if I do not remove all of the coffee after we pour a few cups. I noticed that there is a small tent shaped screened fileter taht is now missing. I guess it got tossed with the excess coffee or grounds. i would imagine this is some type of water filter. I can not find the replacement part anywhere. i have seen the exact filter in demo pots on store shelves. Does anyone know where I may purchase one. I am wondering if this is the reason my pot leaks coffee once it is perked. I read other peoples' comments reA: leakage..cracked screws, etc. I'd like to get a replacement screen filter and see if this makes a difference. Dismayed..but other than this it is a good pot and makes tasty, hot coffee.

I've tried just about every coffee maker there is and this is my favorite. Easy to use. I was not sure how I would like it without the pot. You get up to pour coffee from the carafe, now I get up to have hot coffee dispensed right into my cup
