Pros: No more messes, no more broken pots and one hand dispensing. Cons: You can't serve coffee, they'll have to get their own! It's fairly large.
THIS IS AWESOME, NO MORE DRIBBLING COFFEE POTS! I have been looking for a coffee machine like this for twenty years. I have had all sorts of coffee pots over the last twenty years. Lately, I have been looking for the coffee pot where I ...
Pros: ease of use, good coffee, the dispenser Cons: a little larger than some machines
When we first unwrapped our Hamilton Beach BrewStation which we received as a gift, our first reaction was " we already have a coffee maker ". But after seeing the features and operation, we decided to shelve our Gevalia coffee maker and ...
Pros: Unique design preserves coffee flavor. Easy to dispense. Price is right. Cons: Awkward to fill, cleaning could be easier, controls could be better
We decided to replace our old Bunn because of the poor design of their replacement carafes. We really liked the design of the product, and we really wanted a coffeemaker that would keep coffee hot longer without getting that 'burnt' flavor. Let's talk ...
Pros: Super easy! Cleaning, filling, pouring, drinking...all super easy! Cons: Uh, no burned-tasting coffee - you know how everyone LOVES that!
When I decided to buy a coffee maker, I knew I wanted two things: 1) a timer to program the coffee to be waiting for me in the morning and 2) an automatic shut-off to prevent the coffee from burning in the carafe. I came across the Brewstation in ...
Pros: No pot to break, HOT coffee, tea or just water for 2 hours. Cons: Wish it had loud warning signal when it turns off so I could restart it.
The most amazing coffeemaker that also causes quite a stir, not in the cup, but with friends who drop by for a coffee. They love the take a cup & get your own coffee. No pot to break, clean, burn coffee into. This is just a large black maker with a ...
Pros: Eliminates spills/dribbles while 'pouring' coffee; one-handed use. Cons: Design flaw eventually results in entire tank of coffee all over your counter and floor.
We love our Brew Station and used it about 2 years with no problem. Then one day we walked into the kitchen and the entire tank of coffee was all over the counter and floor. Apparently the tank had sprung a leak. After searching the Hamilton ...
Pros: Love not having a pot!! The whole concept is great! Cons: LEAKS, LEAKS, LEAKS
I've read all of the reviews and can relate to everyones likes and dislikes. Here's my story, I hope I can help someone. I'm on my second Brewstation. I loved the concept so much that I gave it a second chance, not without a Mr.Coffee in between. I ...
Pros: Dispenser, quick, easy to use/clean Cons: Short life span, on/off switch malfunction
I adore this coffee pot. I just wish it had lasted longer. We got it after seeing it in the store. Over the last 8 years, my husband and I have had 3 coffeemakers. All needing to be replaced due to broken carafes - either we ...
Pros: Brews fast and at a perfect temperature. Cons: Stains fast, be sure to clean regularly.
I got the brewstation for Christmas and have used it everyday since then. I haven't had any problems with it so far and it has definitely gotten plenty of use. The Brewstation is easy to use, and brews a nice cup of coffee. I am completely satisfied with ...
Pros: No broken glass carafes to replace! Cons: Unstable handles that break easily.
Hamilton Beach really came up with a great idea with this coffee maker that doesn't require a glass carafe. This was great for my husband and myself as we would eventually break every glass carafe we had. We are clumsy in the A.M. I guess. So, when I saw ...
Pros: No more glass carafe Cons: Leaks, leaks and more leaks
When I first saw the Brewstation, I was so excited about it. Of course it was around Christmas time last year so I had to put this at the top of my "wish list." Of course my husband went out and bought it for me and I was thrilled. The thought of no ...
Pros: Very good coffee. Cons: When you lift up the top water drains to the rear of the coffee maker.
If you drink allot of coffee this is for you. For two people a little to much. Makes excellent coffee and I like the automatic shut off. Water will condensate on the lid and when you open the top the water will drain off behind the coffee maker. Easy filling and cleaning of the filter.
Good design - poor components by solomonking ,Mar 01 '05
Pros: Great design. No change in coffee taste from high temps and evaporation. Great product support. Cons: Messy upper lid. Some plastic parts that should be metal or hardier.
This is the best coffee maker I have had. Too bad it broke. The little tab that releases the coffee into your cup when you push against the release bar broke one of its flimsy hinges internally. The part is small and I can't find anyone online who sells one. I guess I will have to go buy another maker. I hope they fix these issues. I also have the same complaint as most here, that when you raise the lid the condensed water drips all over the counter behind the maker. I like the auto off feature and that it keeps the coffee at the perfect temperature without evaporation or high heat that normally changes the taste of your coffee.
**update**
I called them the day that I wrote this to inquire about a warranty replacement. She told me that there was a 3-4 week backorder on this part (might break a lot?) and that I would have to pay $6 shipping and handling on it. I declined (who can wait 4 weeks for coffee?!?), but they sent it to me any way. I will stick with this brand!
Pros: No carafe, excellent flavor, ease of serving, ease of cleaning, all around quality. Cons: Condensation left on lid, handles seem lightweight raising durability concerns. Big
I owned the worse coffee maker on the planet a GE 10 Cup that never worked right. When it finally came time to replace it, I decided to look at the Brew Station. My biggest complaint with the GE was a faulty pause brewing mechanism that allowed brewed coffee and grounds to pour out onto the counter. Since the Brew Station eliminated the carafe, it seemed like a great choice. After reading the reviews here, I was a little less certain. I called the Hamilton Beach customer service line, I liked their answers and bought the Brew Station for $35 at Wal Mart. I stopped using the timer with the GE, so I decided I didn't need the additional electronics of the higher end model.
After using the Brew Station for one month I've decided it's the best coffee maker I have ever owned, and I've owned a bunch. From higher end Bunn office systems to the piece of you know what GE. (can you tell I was less than happy with the GE?)
Nearly every "Con" on this coffee maker can be avoided, simply by pushing the tab at the bottom of the tank holder before making another pot. Not sure what the real name of it is, but that part that holds the coffee once it is brewed. That container comes out so you can clean it. Put water in it, and then underneath, at the bottom, open up that little tab where the coffee comes out. What happens, and the reason they leak is because coffee grounds get lodged in that little flap, holding the valve open, and then it leaks. Just put water in it over the sink, pull that little valve so the water drains out, and it won't leak any more.
