Pros: Nice idea... Cons: LEAKS! Won't stop dispensing coffee.
We received the Hamilton Beach BrewStation 12 Cup Coffeemaker as a gift from my sister-in-law. She loved hers and had used it for a few months so she bought one for us. Shortly after buying this for us, her coffeemaker started leaking. She thought it ...

Pros: Works great, is easy to use and manage Cons: There are no cons
My daughter bought me the Hamilton Beach BrewStation coffee maker as a Christmas present about three years ago now. I am aware of the price that she paid because I was with her when she bought it! She bought it at Walmart department store. It was found ...

Pros: Dispenses cup-by-cup. Can dispense while brewing. No breakable glass pots. No scorching. Programmable timer. Cons: Turns off automatically, so coffee gets cold. Might not be good for curious children.
My sister has had one of these for almost two years, and she loves it. She cleans it once every six months, and has never had trouble. Since she raved about it, we registered for, and got the Hamilton Beach BrewStation coffee maker as a wedding present. ...

Good to receive as gift, wouldn't buy one... now
by j41b ,Nov 14 '05
Pros: Better than nothing when it works Cons: Poor basket design, Died after only 9 months of use, Very big counter space hog.
This is the most aggravating coffee maker I've ever owned. Grounds continually overflow the basket if you try to make more than 10 cups of coffee. Subsequently grounds get caught in spout shutoff and spills coffee all over. Coffee maker is very big and bulky. The brewing element or it's control system died after only nine months of moderate use (once every other day or so.) The lid is very flimsy and molded hinge pins break easily. I wouldn't recommend giving one for a gift unless you don't like the person you're giving it to. I would never recommend buying one for yourself.

JUNK!!!
by plequerre ,Apr 13 '09
Pros: Nothing positive to say about it. Cons: Not worth a dime. Cheap junk.
Stay away from this coffee maker. It's a total piece of junk. This is my 2nd in 5 months and I'm taking it back to Walmart. The first one had a problem with the pump after 5 weeks. The second recently developed a problem with the pourer underneath the pot. The coffee doesn't drop in the mug.

by tankshifter ,Jul 29 '07
Pros: Non Cons: Drips coffee everywhere after less than a year.
I have had mine less than 1 year and it drips coffee all over the counter. What a piece of junk. Hamilton Beach, I will never buy another product with your name on it.

You get what you pay for...twice over
by surferntx ,Sep 30 '06
Pros: Nothing Cons: poor craftsmanship, poor quality, poor customer service.
Like other reviews, this was given to us as a gift by family members that loved theirs. That unit ended up overheating and leaking after less than a year of service. So we purchased another one, which out of the box, the clock and timer failed after 8 hours. Took this back and exchanged it, even though that voice in my head told me to credit that money towards a Cuisinart that was the only other carafe free brewer at double the price. We arrived home with the new unit, which we noticed they are now being shipped with an extra gasket, more than likely in response to all the other units failing.
This one lasted one week, then overheated and the electronics failed. We tossed it out, not worrying about credit or refunds and purchased the Cuisinart model and our coffee brewing has been incident free since.

Love it!
by kwh9 ,Mar 16 '06
Pros: No carafe. Cons: Tall, and does not fit under some cabinets.
Brewing is easy and trouble-free. I love not having to pick up a carafe to refill my mug. I bought one for home after using the one in the office, and they are both still going strong.

carafe breakers unite!
by xmerfx ,Aug 29 '06
Pros: coffee at the press of a button, one handed Cons: none
i love this product. i received it as a wedding present 2 years ago and it is still holding up. i am one of those people who constanly breaks the glass carafes. everywhere ive ever lived has had a ceramic kitchen sink. and i have broken every single carafe that has come into my path. so this was a great solution for me. i opted for this on my registry rather than a stainless steel one because unlike steel, i can see through this one to see how much coffee is remaining and how muany cups i am making. its very easy to clean. and it never fails to bring a smile to someones face the first time they use it.
