This review was revised to add details on the pre-program feature as well as other specifics. Model 47454. We finally tired of our percolators dying a quick death and switched to this drip. So far, the Hamilton Beach BrewStation Deluxe is working ...
Pros: Easy to use, water filtration, pause and serve doesn't leak (yet) Cons: Water filter holder is hard to open. Nothing else wrong with it so far.
This is a preliminary review. I'm making my second pot of coffee with this machine as I type this, so please do check back in a week or so for the more in-depth details. And for those of you who are wondering, I am a coffee fan. I'll get around to ...
Pros: Design, Features, Functionality, No carafe, EASY to use, EASY to clean, makes great tasting coffee! Cons: No cord storage
OK, so I read all of these reviews over 3 months ago before I purchased this wonderful coffee maker. I must say I was very skeptical to make the initial purchase because of the negative reviews of this product. I must disagree! Like I mentioned ...
Pros: No carafe, coffee tastes great, machine is attractive on the counter. Cons: Tank leaks coffee after a couple of cleanings onto counter and into water reservoir.
I absolutely love the coffee from the BrewStation. The coffee maker looks sharp, has a brew timer so that it can be set to make at a specific time, and has several choices for brew types. The BrewStation can make 1-4 cups, robust flavor, normal, or ...
Pros: Design, coffee strength settings, has great stainless steel accents, no glass container, and programmable. Cons: Won't hold water, OR COFFEE! Leaks bad, all over the counter after 6 months use.
This is my second Hamilton Brew Station...one regular, and one Deluxe...AND MY LAST. The concept and look of the maker is wonderful. It has a wonderful clock, nice stainless steel accents, and great easy to use settings. The style is really ahead of ...
Pros: Good coffee, no carafe, neat dispensing mechanism, dispenses while brewing Cons: Broke quickly. And when it leaks, it makes a huge mess!
I got the Hamilton Beach Brewstation Deluxe about 4 months ago. Having no carafe was definitely the best thing about it, it looked great on the counter and was very convenient for everyone in the house to fill their cups and travel mugs. For 4 ...
Pros: Hamilton Beach BrewStation Deluxe is much improved over the original BrewStation! Cons: Only problem--can't find the water filter inserts in stores--have to be ordered through Hamilton Beach.
I absolutely LOVE my Hamilton Beach Deluxe BrewStation! I had the original BrewStation and had so many problems with it--coffee grounds kept getting stuck in the valve that delivered the coffee and it would then leak, the dispenser wasn't tall enough ...
Pros: Attractive, easy to use, easy to clean. Cons: None
Since meeting my fiance - I have gone through 4 coffee pots. In a year. He's broken the carafes on 3 and one we just used till it burnt up! Last ween, I heard the familiar "TINK" if Matthew breaking the carafe followed by a string of expletives... And we ...
Pros: Carafeless design is wonderful. Cons: Reservoir Leaks, No Light in filler area.
I've owned 2 of these units. I love the carafeless design. I bought it for the 4 hours programmable shut off, instead of the standard 2 hour auto shut off and for the lack of a glass pot. Unfortunately, it LEAKS, badly. The design of the canister is ...
Pros: Smaller size than regular plain Brewstation. Dispenses into coffee cup. 4 hr. shutoff. Cons: Bad design. Awkward to use.
I had a Brewstation for several years and loved it. It quit running after a lightning storm, so I was forced to buy another Brewstation. This time I bought the Deluxe version to get a 4 hr. shutoff, which was on sale at Sears for less than $70. ...
Pros: coffee tasted great, easy to use, no carafe to break Cons: LEAKS, LEAKS, LEAKS What a waste of money! Do not buy.
Don't bother to buy this coffeemaker, it just doesn't last and isn't worth the money. I bought the Brewstation deluxe model ( thought it would be much better than the original) and loved it, until after about five months when mine started to leak around ...
Pros: Worked great for the first 4 MONTHS! Cons: Breaks continuously even after being replaced. Big money on cheap parts.
I purchased this Brew Station Deluxe for around $100 and the cheap black lever that dispenses the coffee has broken TWICE within the last year I have had it. Both times, it was the plastic on the black lever that broke completely off. I was able to get ...
Pros: Great tasting coffee. Can program start time. No carafe. Cons: None
I love my brewstation. I have owned it for over a year and have not had a single problem. I follow directions and make sure to turn the "pot" over and run waters thru it EVERY time I clean it. I have never had a leak. I use it daily and it makes great tasting coffee. No spill from trying to pour from a carafe and coffee stays hot without getting cooked. I highly recommend it. Has settings for decaf, small brew (only 4 cups), stronger flavor. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.
Pros: Timer worked well. The backlight is a cool color. Coffee tasted good. Cons: Breaks too easily -expensive machine - can not find replacement parts.
This coffee maker is big on features and works well until you clean it. After cleaning it leaked. The washer no longer could hold the coffee back.Trying to fix the leak the tiny parts broke. When used to make coffee all the parts take on the color of coffee and therefore when you try to fix it you snap the tiny little arm off since everything is now the same color.
Great, until you need Customer Service by jgoodhue ,Dec 27 '06
Pros: Looks good; but so does a pig with enough make-up. Cons: Leaks. No customer service.
I like the looks and features, but I'm surprised Hamilton Beach hasn't issued a recall for this coffeemaker. I'm on my second Brew Station and in both cases, the thing lasts about 3 months, then it starts to leak. The metal plate in the basket, that sits on the warmer, has a small rubber seal that apparently fails after 2 or 3 months. When the seal fails, your coffee leaks down through the heating element and onto your counter. I've been trying to contact Hamilton Beach Customer service for about a week to see if they have a solution. I'll re-post if I can ever get through to their Customer Service. It's the first time I've ever called a large company Customer Service line and hear a recording telling me that they are "out to lunch."
