    Pros: Inventive. Great setting and magic system. Tortured characters. Short. Standalone.
    Cons: I’m not sure the structural approach was entirely successful.

    Pros: Narrative style; imaginative and gripping story. I cried at the end...
    Cons: A bit dark; occasionally difficult to disentangle prose
