Pros: low cost, gentle brush, good fur detangling Cons: none noted
Summary: My four cats are 90 purrcent hairball. They leave little bits of fur all over the house, unless I keep up with their brushing. I've tried all kinds of brushes, and this one seems to be the best. Not only that, but the price is ... read more

Pros: Easy To Use, Nice Strong Bristles, Easy To Clean, Inexpensive Cons: Not good on knots.
Summary: I have three cats, 2 of them short hair, and one Persian-mix white with long hair. While at the grocery store I decided to pick up one of the Hartz Slicker Brushes for Cats to give a try on them. It seems like I am always having problems with cat hair ... read more

Pros: Fits in your hand. Small clumps easy to tackle. Gentle. Cons: Not for large clump areas or bigger (over 25lb) felines.
Summary: There are three felines who rule this roost and the oldest was falling apart all over our living and dining room areas daily. We devised a plan to follow him as he shed and only take the vacuum out when it was more a white and grey carpet than the ... read more

Pros: Ball-tipped nylon bristles. Cons: No good for tangly-coated cats.

Pros: "cute" pink with little open heart at end of handle Cons: bristles too short and plastic (don't manage tangles), head too small for adult cat bodies!
Summary: My husband had this brush for his previous Persian when I met him. It still has the tag on it, if that is any indication of how little we use this. Apparently someone got it for him because it was "cute". If you were putting together a gift basket for ... read more

Pros: Compact brush with durable bristles Cons: A little too small for all the fur on Cali
Summary: Cali has very soft fur. I've always been amazed her fur has been. I've become pretty addicted to petting her that it's become a part of my daily routine. Unfortunately, as with all hair or fur, it needs to be maintained otherwise it can lose its ... read more

Pros: Inexpensive, comfortably designed, slicks and shines hair very well. Cons: Does not pick up loose hair well.
Summary: The Hartz slicker brush does exactly what it intends to do: It helps to make your cat's coat shiny and smooth. The brush is fairly small, about 6 or 7 inches in overall length. Made of pink plastic, the Hartz slicker features a rubber grip handle ... read more
