Pros: Brightly colored and multiple musical songs that rotate in play. Cons: Flimsy and redundant
This little toy is sooo much fun for everyone. But it does grow boring easily. The toy is made of plastic and does come in two pieces. You place the yellow track on top of the orange track which is secured to the small base. There is a fan inside ...
Pros: Attractive toy, cute songs. Cons: Not durable, parts easily lost, weak suction.
For the past couple of days I've been trying to review the toys my children received as Christmas gifts, as well as what my one year old received the week before Christmas on her birthday. This toy was a gift to my daughter. I thought it was pretty cute ...
Pros: Fun, captivating, very colorful, gets you up and moving Cons: Constantly chasing balls, no volume switch
My daughter received this toy as a gift for her first birthday. It's a very simple toy, but can be quite captivating. The Busy Ball Popper involves pushing a large red button to start the air movement. Air pushes the four colorful balls through a ...
Pros: Fun music,
Easy to assemble,
Lots of fun! Cons: Uses batteries quickly
What a fun toy! It's a big hit with my ten month old son as well as my 3 year old nephew. When he comes to visit, it's the first thing he runs for! There are 5 balls that run through the tube and POP out the top. Some land back in the track for ...
Pros: It is very fast paced and lots of action Cons: A little too fast for young 1 year olds or under
I have no idea why there is no picture here but I will describe it as best I can.
It measures 14" long, 4" wide and 1 foot tall.
It is very compact and easy to move from room to room.
I bought this toy for my 1 year old, he loves it....
Pros: Entertaining, good for development (what happens when I do this, etc), sturdy, mesmerizing Cons: For non-mobile babies, parents have to spend a lot of time retrieving balls
My sister had this for her older daughter, so I had to get one for our little girl. At first we weren't sure if she liked it or not, but then she started whining if we didn't push the plunger again fast enough (she doesn't quite have the leverage yet to push it herself). She loves to watch the balls, experiments with what happens when she blocks it in certain places, pulls balls out....This is a very durable toy, so it is easy to find used, but it's worth it to buy new. My niece played with it from 6 months through 3 years!
The whole thing is pretty sturdy. The only negative is, as a previous reviewer said, you spend a good amount of time retrieving balls, if your child isn't able to go get them herself. But the fact that the balls sometimes go popping up and out unexpectedly is one of the most attractive things about this toy for the kids, and eventually she'll go get them herself.
Pros: Active fun. Music keeps kids moving. Promotes colour recognition. 30 second intervals of play. Cons: Can't think of any.
This is a great toy that we got as a gift! It's for my 13 month old but my 3 1/2 year old loves playing with it too. The baby can start it on her own, chases the balls (she's walking), puts them back into play. There are about 8 different songs so it doesn't get tiring to the ear.
The balls do tend to pop out, but if you point the toy away from the furniture they are much less likely to roll underneath, making it easy for the kids to return the balls.
Needs good batteries - dollar store batteries don't last very long. Any items dropped inside other than the balls have dropped back out once you turn it upside down. Both kids have put their arms in the tube and neither one has gotten stuck.
You MUST get this for your baby! by dr_unnati ,Jul 11 '04
Pros: The colorful balls pop out and very catchy tunes accompany them. Cons: Sometimes a ball needs to be pressed in manually to get the motion going.
I have a 6 month old boy. He can't get enough of this toy. He loves to play with it all the time. He finds the balls popping out very thrilling. He tries to grab them as they come out. He gets tired of other toys easily but this one keeps him interested. It is a MUST for every baby 6-12 months of age.
Pros: It keeps baby busy, not too noisy, unique toy Cons: Not enough balls, balls fly out occasionally
This is one of my favorite Christmas gifts this year. My 10 month old seems to be afraid of everything, and I was worried that he'd start to cry when we turned it on. Turns out, he loved it! The busy balls fascinate him. He loves to try to catch the balls.
I wish it came with more balls though. Sometimes the balls fly out, or the baby snatches them up. If there aren't at least 3 balls in the machine, it doesn't work as good. Sometimes the balls won't pop up, so you have to put your hand over one of the holes to create a suction and then release. But all in all, this is a great toy and I'm glad we purchased it.
Pros: Very entertaining and great exercise for kids. Cons: The balls can get lost, but you can buy replacement ones.
I bought the Ball Popper as a gift for my son when he was 6 months. I figured he'd grow into it. He loved it from that minute on. He could dance to the music. Stare in amazement as the balls went round and round. Now that he's 15 months he loves running after the balls and putting them back in the hole. It's great exercise for him and keeps him busy for a while. I think it is a wonderful toy.
Pros: Keeps the kids interest & they can play independently. Cons: Easy to lose the balls under furniture.
My 3-yr old picked this toy out for his little brother's first birthday. After a month, they both still play with it almost every day. The baby loves to grab the balls and will crawl after one and bring it back if it falls out. It only took him a couple days to learn how to turn it on - it has a big button that's very easy to press. My three year old likes to play with it too, especially to take the 'track' part off and blow the balls all around the floor.
My 3-yr old did get his hand stuck down in the tube part, and we had to unscrew the whole thing to get it out. No harm done, though, and it was a learning experience for him!
Pros: Fun to watch Cons: Arms can get stuck
Balls usually pop out too frequently
Not recommended. My son got his arm caught in the tube. It does not appear to be easy to disassemble in such cases. We almost had to smash the toy to get his arm out. It is a lot of fun when in operation, but be sure your child's arm is larger than the opening.
Pros: Fun for all ages Cons: They should sell replacement balls.
This toy is one of the best toys I've ever bought. I first bought it for our 18 mo old grandson who was in the hospital with cancer. He played with it for hours in his pack n' play (which was good so the balls wouldn't escape). It made long IV treatments more bearable. Other kids in the hospital would come into his room to play with it too! That was 2 years ago and I have bought 2 more since for other grandkids. I also keep one here at my house and have seen 4 children from ages 2 to 10 play with it at the same time and having a blast for hours. A fun tip: You can remove the balls and take a non helium filled balloon and sit it on top and the air will make it seem like it is suspended in the air like magic.
Pros: Good music. Cons: Chasing Balls...CONSTANTLY!
It is a fun toy for children, until they loose the balls within the first 2 minutes and YOU have to go hunt them down under, behind, and around furniture, making you realize you have not done your Spring Cleaning yet.
Truly, I let my children have this toy for about 2 months until I made it disappear (into the garbage). I didn't even salvage the batteries. Thankfully, it was not one of their favorite toys, so it has not been asked for yet. The only thing my children got from this toy were two minutes of laughter before the balls rolled away and an hours worth of frustration afterward trying to locate the balls. That was not a fair enough balance for me.
Also, I did not like how the top seperated from the bottom so easily.
I did not purchase this and would not get it for someone else's child.
Pros: fun toy! Cons: balls fly off and have to chase them; arm can get stuck in tube
Bought for son's first birthday - he loves it, so do the siblings (ages 5, 6 and 16). Get's old chasing the balls that fly off. He's constantly getting his arm stuck in the tube (where the 'plunger' is). If he gets a little bigger and sticks his arm in, it will probably require forcible removal. DO NOT purchase for younger children! I contacted Playskool and they are sending out a label for it to be returned to them.
