"S"-brand mattresses (Sealy, Simmons, Serta, Sterns & Foster, etc.) are not your only options. Mattress chain stores (Sleepy's, 1-800-Mattres, etc.) are not your only resources. It can be so much better! I had spent my life sleeping on futons and ...
This bed was one of the best purchases of my life. It is so comfortable, so consistant, so worth it. It took me quite awhile to be able to understand spending 10+ thousand dollars on a bed, but I have complete faith after having the bed for a ...
Pros: Unfortunately, I haven't found any in my experience Cons: Not comfortable to the point of inducing pain, worthless 25 year warranty
I was in the market for a bed in the fall of 2006. I ran into Hastens and immediately I fell in love with it. Several aspects contributed: This is a Company founded in 1852 in Sweden and it is still owned and operated by the same family. The ...
Pros: Near zero carbon footprint and a fabulous night's sleep. Cons: The cost can be scary.
As a proud owner of a Hastens Superia in silver check with the BJX topper - which I purchased at Gallery Furniture of Houston TX (and they appear to be the only Hastens bed store in the world that can deliver a Hastens the same day you select it, which ...
Glorious Feel for Body and Soul, Backs and Other Aching Places Feel So Much Better by stagers ,Sep 29 '09
Pros: You don't lie on the bed, you're in it and no drain on the environment. Cons: If you can't buy it without paying bills or feeding the family, then price.
My husband and I love this bed. He got firm on his side I got medium. Terribly corny but true, it is like like lying down in a cloud or the loving arms of the universe. We also bought some Hastens linens which added positively to the experience. My husband has a bad back, which actually gets better after sleep, that never happened before. I have a chronic pain diagnosis which even our good bed was not helping. I am not cured but certainly have experienced great relief from morning symptoms. As a bonus, it's one of the best things about coming home from a trip. Yes it costs lots o'$$$ but for us worth every cent!
I can't believe there aren't more bad reviews! by luxurychump ,Jan 12 '08
Pros: It is completely organic and resists developing allergens. Cons: I wake up in pain, and find it hard to climb out of bed.
This bed was a total and complete rip off. Spent close to $7000 on it. We have had it over a year and are absolutely amazed at its ability to become nothing more than a body bag. I wake up with aches and pains in my hip joints. If my husband and I try to sleep with our arms wrapped about each other our combined weight (less then 275lbs) creates a sink hole, which makes a black hole seem easier to crawl out of. We even spent more to get a medium firm bed! We can't tell if it is because of the futon like top mattress stuffed w/ sterilized horse hair (seriously...when it escapes the pad it is appears to be wiry pubic hair from Big Foot" or weak "tungsten springs individually wrapped with organic cotton covers hand sewn by Scandinavian fingers".
Please let us be the idiots and do not by this bed. We would move it to the guest room but our backs are to messed up from sleeping in it.
