ABSOLUTELY THE WORST
by airics2 ,Dec 15 '06
Pros: Worked for 24hrs Cons: PIECE OF JUNK, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT
I purchased this camera for the simple task of watching our pets when we were gone through the internet... Setup was ok.. It worked for a day and then i could not log in from outside our home..
I called customer service which is terrible. Told me the ip address must have changed so i would need to take the camera (which was now mounted) down and resync,
I was mad about this and then they hung up on me... Next time i tried to log in my password was mysteriously changed and i couldnt log in, not even with the admin password. (i had given these passwords to the guy on the phone)..
I have boxed it up and am taking it back.. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN

Nice Camera for the price
by dhess62 ,Nov 13 '09
Pros: Price, Ebay has them for $66 Cons: Wish the lense was a little better quality
Not sure what the other bad reviews were about. I purchased one for around $67, got it home and had it up and working both on the wired network and on the wireless network the same evening. I use this every day as a security monitor for my house and it does a great job. I'll agree that it could be a little difficult to set up if you didn't have some networking experience, but like I said, mine is up and works great.

Avoid this device like the plague...
by bobmct ,Dec 26 '07
Pros: None Cons: Literally Everything!
I've used Hawking Tech networking gear in the past and had reasonably good results. So when I needed a wireless network camera, their price was right on this model so I figured... why not.
My experiences were this:
Initially it took me about two weeks and several emails to their tech support to even get the camera to be recognized on a wired network. Finally I was able to access its configuration and setup the wireless section. All my settings were accepted and the camera stated the wireless was "connected". Trouble is... I could NEVER access it. Only when I plugged in the network wire could I access it and then it was spotty. The Hawking Tech support was about the worst I've ever experienced and might as well be labeled "non-existent". Now I have to EAT the $100+ cost of this device and look for something else. You can bet I will never purchase Hawking again.
