This printer prints nothing like the previous model hp laser-jet 3550
which I happily owned until a sensor went bad 4 months out of warranty.

The 3550 Has perfect color match to my screen without any work. Vibrant colors, sharp edges & line art strait out of the box.

This new 3600n, according to an hp rep, "has more wax in the toner."
They were trying to do something, I don't know what, but what we get are
gray blacks rougher more pixally artÑwashed out colors, poor quality line

The text isn't bad, but it's not nearly as dark as it used to be.

Also, the printing slows down after the first few pages. Just printing text from a pdf I got 10 pages a minute not 17!

From out of box - Poor Line art with multiple color miss aligned in places.
Colors are not vibrant as with HP 2600 which significantly cheaper, half retail price.

just dont buy this printer.  It was our second HP laser jet 3600n and I am throwing it in the trash today, 3 months after receiving it.  HP support will simply waste your hours and days.  If you just bought one, return it in the 30 day window and run. 

I will be glad to go into detail if someone really cares, but they have burnt me out so far.  What a nightmare.
