Pros: Simple operation. Can scan direct to any computer on the LAN! Sheet feeder. OSX compatible. Cons: Can't sheet-feed double-sided originals. Can't select scan options from the front panel. Small paper capacity.
Background: I run a mixed Mac/Windows network with two MacBooks, one PC laptop, and eight desktops. I was previously sharing a laser and an inkjet through a spare PC. I wanted to retire the PC and replace it with printers that have built-in Ethernet, for ...
Pros: There is still time to take it back Cons: Anyone can just name a machine and say it does things. This does nothing.
I can't believe I got sucked into buying another one of these pieces of junk. Luckily, I only bought it three days ago, so I can still return it to Best Buy. I bought my 6310 on Sunday, brought it home and followed the setup instructions to the ...
I purchased the HP OfficeJet 6310 All-In-One as a replacement for my broken flatbed scanner and an upgrade to the inkjet printer that I'd used for 8 years. I mention those pieces of equipment because your mileage may vary depending on what you are ...
Pros: Network Printing
Easy browser interface Cons: Setup could be easier, learn as you go along
I purchased this about 6 months ago, so far this has been a great purchase. I have the xi version of it from Costco, it is wired network capable. We run a mixed environment of PC's (Windows 2k, XP, Vista), I have had a very easy time setting it up. ...
Pros: Fast printing, perfect color reproduction! Cons: None yet
I have always been happy with HP products. I've bought other brands that I thought were cheaper, but they never lasted as long as my first printer, a trusty Deskjet that outlasted more than one pc. These days, I prefer a printer that has a fax, ...
Pros: Built in print driver, small footprint Cons: Jams frequently, inconvenient paper feed.
Progress in HP terms usually means more features and lower quality. I purchased this to replace the OfficeJet All-In-One 6110 which was a workhorse. In fact, if you can find the 6110, grab it. However, I was lured by the one benefit that the 6310 has, ...
Pros: Linux drivers, compact size, print quality, ease of use Cons: It took almost a half hour to install on Windows
The HP 6310 is the 3rd all in one machine I’ve owned in the past 4 years, and so far, it’s been the best. My first all in one was a Brother MFC, which broke down in less than a year. I then moved to a Lexmark X6170, which worked pretty well for a couple ...
Pros: Multifunction printer. Light weight, small profile. Quality printing and Inexpensive to buy and maintain. Cons: No duplex. Prints on legal and longer paper but the print tray doesn't expand.
This is a smaller all-in-one HP Inket Printer that is network compatible. The network feature was easy to setup. The print quality is excellent. I have printed directly from the built-in media slots and PictBridge port. Printing on HP photo paper ...
Pros: It does actually copy! Cons: Without the software it's a piece of junk. No help from technical support!
So, I bought this for my home office a few months back and still have not been able to use it! I consider myself pretty computer savvy and I have always been able to fix any problem I had dealing with my computer but this item has caused me nothing but ...
Pros: Cheap, decent printing. Actually works if you have a NEW computer. Cons: Too expensive for just printing, doesn't do anything else well.
I'm not sure which is worse: The Canon printers the eat up print heads every year or two, or this "multifunction" printer that really only does printing and faxing well. The printing is OK. Copying is agonizingly slow. Sure, if you're copying ...
Great quality for a great price by hazele ,Mar 22 '07
Pros: Low price, speed, quality of print Cons: Small ink cartridges
I am very pleased with the quality of this multifunction machine. It's copies, Prints and faxes and is so easy to use. It's footprint isn't a large as our one we replaced so I am very happy. I would highly recommend it to anyone for its low price and quality.
Pros: Print speed and quality, "all-in-one" functions, Cons: It's big, but in real terms, cartridge size and not individual colours.
This printer replaced our old HP 710 printer at home.
I wanted a small printer but they are almost non-existant these days so reluctantly (due to it's physical size) bought an "all-in-one" machine. As it's worked out, I like the extra functions it offers.
The 6310 was well priced, and easy to install.
Everything works as expected, and we are impressed with the speed and quality of printing.
We're still on the supplied ink cartridges but they are holding out well.
As this is a family computer we're printing most things on economy setting and man, it's fast.
The photo-copy works well, as does the fax function (for those rare times it's needed.
Pros: Relatively fast printer Cons: Small cartridges, poor design
I did not have the problems installing or running this that others have reported. I have owned this moneysucker for 4+ months and just need to say:
- The ink cartridges are unbelievably small and expensive.
- If you try to recycle paper (ie, reprint on already printed on paper, even carefully stacked) the device just freaks out and misfeeds constantly.
- The paper feeder attachment is for the birds. It pops off if you even accidentally touch it (and for most of us, who sit rather close to our printers, this is a real problem). Operating the machine without this attachment (as I am forced to) makes all the pages fall onto the floor. What fun!
I won't even go into how this thing slows down my open memory. That might be a problem just for me because I - gasp - have a computer that's more than 2 years' old.
I hate to waste machinery and so will probably run this to its grave, but no more HP for me. My husband warned me about this company before I ever bought this printer and I should have listened.
Good Printer, sorry scanner by dvidacak1 ,May 12 '08
Pros: Printer, low cost cartridges, Cons: SLOW Scanner, Does not work with "PaperPort 11 Pro"
I used to have brother all-in-one and it worked great but the printer head broke. I selected HP as the new all-in-one, however scanner is too slow and the machine is very noisy (in all modes). I was not able to make it work with the "PaperPort 11 Pro" (Brother worked like the champ, and had much faster document scanning).
If you are planning to use scanner for more then the fax look for something else.
