Pros: Size, noise level, styling, decent performance, wireless Cons: limited expansion, both memory slots filled
In the past, I would build my PC's because I like to put higher end components into them. Since this PC is primarily used by teens for iTunes, Word, Internet Explorer, and IM, a high end system wasnt required. My wife and I use our laptops ...

Pros: Small form factor, dedicated video memory, excellent audio. Cons: No system discs included. Tons of adware preinstalled.
I decided it was time for a new computer. My 2001 notebook still works fine but it lacks many of the modern features I've been wanting; - Large (250 gb), fast (7200rpm) HDD - Multi-format DVD burner - USB 2.0 support with multiple ports - Media ...

nice & small sure....but
by CrownBuslady ,Feb 22 '09
Pros: small, quiet, easy to work on Cons: pain in the butt to use recovery disks with new hdd
dont try to replace the hdd on your own...the physical part is easy, it's getting it to work. system tattoo prevents a non-original hp drive to be used. well, im gonna work around it and install a fresh copy of XP Pro and figure it out.
it's a nice small box with the essentials. It's actually not hard to work on if you're computer savvy with the interior guts of one. It IS tight and compact in there. the hdd is insanely easy to replace. The Ram slots are accessable after removing or adjusting the dvd drive, pretty simply stuff. but im having problems after it blue screened with the old drive-tried to use both my recovery disks(which worked before) AND original disks i ordered from HP, they both fail to work; it fails to recover with the new hdd...it's just rediculous. then i learn of this tattoo code thing...im about to stick it in the closet.
never had the power supply issue. it IS quiet.it's nice to have a small dekstop that you can work on (those smaller ones like mac or dell's, great looking but TINY)
just be aware of the issues

nice little PC but a very short lifespan
by gtxmann ,May 09 '08
Pros: small, compact, large HDD. Built in wireless. multi-card reader. Cons: memory inadequate. Integrated video quite limiting with no upgrade possibility. Hazardous power supply HP ignores.
Nice small PC was my first Vista PC. And my first dual-core PC. Very quiet. Have had great luck with prior HP's. PC was adequate out of box but immediately needed upgraded memory with little effect. Still works as a email/internet PC but will lag even on myspace sites. Power supply failed after 13th month with smoke and smells. No offer of help (or safety recall) from HP. (Note: a Sony Vaio I previously owned was recalled TWICE for power supply issues--after warranty ended-with free repair and shipping).

Power supply breaks
by choffpauir ,Jan 10 '09
Pros: Small size. Powerful processor. Excellent office terminal. Cons: Power supply is flawed. TONs of bloatware. No HDMI limits usability.
I purchased two of these machines for my office. I opted to downgrade them (at my expense) to XP Pro. The machines performed flawlessly for almost exactly one year. In the thirteenth month BOTH power supplies failed.
