Pros: Excellent photo printer, really pretty, nice control panel
Cons: Drinks ink, goes into maintenance mode too often, paper handling is a mess

Summary: When I was looking for a new printer in early January, an HP salesperson in Best Buy sold me on the Hewlett-Packard Photosmart 8250.. With its beautiful design, fast print speed, great looking control panel, and two tray operation (one for 4x6 ... read more

Pros: Lots of great features for printing your pictures without even turning on your PC.
Cons: Paper feed issues, drinks ink, and goes into maintenance mode too often.

Summary: This printer fits the saying, "jack of all trades, ace of none".  It has a very nice appearance, has a lot of features, and is in a relatively small package.  I bought this printer because it uses separate ink cartridges for each ... read more

Pros: Good quality photos, easy to replace individual inks, good print speed.
Cons: Fair on document printing.  Can use bit of ink. Could hold more paper.

Summary: I had owned one of these for about three years.  I do a lot of photo printing for my hobby of roadgeeking, and this machine has always done a great job of printing photos,  both off the computer or off memory cards.  Unfortunately, the USB ... read more

Pros: Prints nice quality photos quickly for a reasonable price per print.
Cons: Almost impossible to print envelopes with this printer.

Summary: I purchased this product in June of 2006. I purchased it as an everyday printer and also to print photos. I liked the fact that it has separate ink cartridges for 5 colors and 1 for black: you only replace colors you run out of. The separate ... read more

Pros: Memory stick slots read nearly all cards, fast prints, easy to use and set up.
Cons: Paper tray output needs paper guides. Ink cartridges don't hold much ink.

Summary: I purchased an HP Photosmart 8250 printer to replace an older model HP without photo print capabilities. I paid about $160 for it, including tax. One of the selling points that convinced me to buy this printer is that it prints photos very fast, with ... read more

  • Excellent, Cheap Digital At-Home Photo Printing

Pros: Cheap 6-ink printing and low cost per photo, quality. Bluetooth!
Cons: No fax/cop/scan, small paper tray.

Summary: Many people seem to be hesitant to jump on the do-it-yourself photo printing band wagon. This is understandable since the previous generation of printers did photos of a quality that some might consider...'doggie poo'? Although it's still generally ... read more

Pros: Speed, quiet, super high quality photos. Works great as a "normal" printer.
Cons: Paper capacity, lack of a smart memory card slot, paper alignment. No network connection.

Summary: HISTORY I've owned a number of HP printers, both Laser and Inkjet. This printer was purchased to replace an older, but faithful inkjet: the Professional HP 2000C. I liked the 2000C because of its speed, print quality, quietness and economy of ... read more
