Pros: Long list of features Cons: Large footprint, manual provided is basic - need to print out the detailed manual
We've all been there before... A printer breaks down just as we spent good money on a multi-pack of ink cartridges. Since printers are not worth fixing (versus purchasing a new one), off you go to buy a new printer only realize that you need to buy all ...
Pros: works well, easy installation, cheap! Cons: made from cheap plastic parts
My printer/fax/scanner/copier broke down at work and so I made my boss buy me a new one. I was sort of dreading getting the new one because I knew I'd have to set it up myself. I will fully admit that I am a total wuss when it comes to having ...

Pros: Great AOI printer if discounted and you can get it to work on your network. Cons: EPIC FAIL - the drivers are very bad. ADF jams easily.
I'll update this review as I get more experience with the printer, but after one day of owning it here's what I know:Positive Comments1 - The "Digital Filing" feature is great! You setup 10 different front panel hotkeys to ...
Pros: Fast printing

Professional quality pictures Cons: Limited to one size of photo (mine was 4x6)
I've owned a digital camera for about 2 years now, and I have to say the one thing I felt was missing when I first got it, was the ability to have printed pictures. While I have no problem looking at the pictures I take on the computer, print outs are ...

Pros: Quality of product and prints, price of printer and prints, Quality of back up service. Cons: Absolutely none. Would still be a bargain at twice the price.
I purchased one of these printer after reading the excellent reviews on various web sites on the net. I normally buy brand named products to ensure that they will do what they claim but through caution to the wind and bit the bullet. At first glance, ...
Pros: when it does work, it is fast Cons: Paper jams constantly.

The HiTi 630ps compared against my inkjet printers by baherring ,Jul 28 '04
Pros: amazing prints and ease of use Cons: none
the HiTi 630ps from right out of the box gave be amazing prints, from the stand alone mode or from my pc.
Have had several ink jets and have had problems sooner or later with the print heads from clogging to banning from lack of use. With the hiti 630ps you have a ribbon so you don't have to be concerned with clogged print heads.
The price of a print is about 40 cents a piece. I have printed direct from a sm,and cf cards did no color correcting and got great pictures, but you can correct color, brightness, and contrast either stand alone or from pc.
Pros: Print quality acceptable Cons: Poor paper handling.
Not a good printer at any price. I purchased this printer and thought I got a deal ($149). One of the worst paper handling printers I have ever used. Jams often. The paper feed will often take 5 pieces of paper at a time.
Pros: Great paperweight. Cons: Everything about the machine.
Oh...My...God!
I'm a a system administrator, and I've installed a lot of desktop peripherals in my time, but, for poor performance, this one has them all beat!
1. The software is so clunky that it repeatedly crashed my system.
2. The scanner simply didn't work...In fact, if you run out of ink in just one cartridge, the machine won't let you scan! Please tell me why you need ink in order to scan a document to file?
3. Per usual with HP, the software that ships with the machine consists of several arcane applications, all of which are enormous resource-hogs.
4. Okay, so I decided to scan to device (a plain thumb-drive). I put the document on the scanner, insert my thumb drive and press "scan"...viola!..."Disconnect device. Refer to printer documentation to troubleshoot".
I eventually gave up and put this piece of junk in storage.
Don't Wait - this is the answer by serndip ,Jun 06 '06
Pros: Everything great! Cons: None that I can see
Just got this a few days ago. Like anything, I do a search on-line as well as speak with others. I knew I wanted to get away from the "inkjet" and hoped that there was something else.
After knowing of the "die-sub" process, I did a search on-line and discovered "Hi-Touch". Did several searches and called a few photo stores and all seemed to have high acolades for Hi-Touch in general.
So, without even getting a test picture, I decided to just do it! I'm not a professional Photographer but know how to take a nice picture with a DSLR and a simple P&S camera.
Setup was simple, simple. I was printing after 15 minutes. This morning, I was up taking pictures of the fog rolling out! Again, it was so thrilling to run and pop in my "compact flash" and be able to print the one photo!
Overall very competent machine by leptonlaunch ,Jan 18 '08
Pros: Very Fast printer. Feels and looks and runs solid. No significant problems Cons: Ink not waterproof. Should have larger menu screen. Double sided prints are slow to print
The L7680 is the fastest inkjet I have ever used. It can print documents or web pages extremely fast. Note: Photos printed in normal fast mode have lines, BUT, this printer can print photos on photo paper perfectly if you use the included hp photosmart software and choose "borderless" printing. In this mode the printer will slow down and very carefully print a photo without any lines in it or any observable defects. This is only a 4 color printer, but I was none-the-less very impressed with the quality of the photos it printed.
Home computer is 933 mhz, using windows xp. We installed all the hp software, and it did NOT slow the computer down, so I don't know why other people are having troubles.
Online reviews suggest ink costs as low as laserprinter, but I haven't calculated to verify. Copies looked crisp and highly defined, but other than that I haven't used the scanner. The ability to use this printer as a copy machine without turning the computer on is very handy and desirable. Automatic document feeder works well- no problems.
