Pros: Wireless, quality of print, quick button features, cost, speed, all-in-one Cons: Noise, some hidden menus, slightly bulky duplex attachment
The main reason I upgraded from my other HP All-in-one printer was simply because I needed a wireless printer to fit in the shelves/cabinet in my office. I researched for one that was an affordable price and had the features I wanted. The ...
Pros: Full range of capabilities. Excellent printing quality. Cost efficient. Cons: Long setup time. Text-only screen.
I bought the OfficeJet 6500 for a few reasons that all tended to focus around saving money. First, I live in a big home with a lot of people. Being able to connect one printer to a lot of computers using the wireless capability was a must and a definite ...
Pros: The sale price looks really cheap Cons: But, they scam you on the ink.
It's also noisy and setup is a pain.
The Best Buy salesman (in their Citrus Park, FL, store) made a big deal about how, unlike the competition, the HP OfficeJet 6500 all-in-one printer came with full size ink cartridges, not “starter” cartridges. And the box and ...
Pros: Good quality out put and descent control panel layout Cons: Models not clearly marked, questionable print-copy speed rating, questionable cost savings, slow duplexing.
I have done my own testing on this product and there are 5 items that should be mentioned. The one I tested was the 6500 wireless model number E709n this comes with duplexing 1)There are 3 variations of this product all with the same name but not all ...
ink cartridges were empty when bought. HP says "to bad go buy new ones, they dont come with the printer anyway". The box say it comes with 4 cartridges, I guess it needs to say 4 new empty cartridges. Very noisy & slow, hogs cpu memory.
Wireless Capability is Garbage by osulaw ,Sep 20 '09
Pros: It works fine if you are hooked up to a cable. Cons: Wireless connection has to be re-installed each and every day because connection is readily lost.
Just bought this printer and every single day I end up having to reload the drivers in order to re-establish the wirless connection which it looses each and everyday. Would never again buy another machine like this. The other features work fine, but if the wireless printing capability is important to you, look elsewhere because the wireless capability on HP printers is so bad that any other wireless devices or even bluetooth that is near to the HP printer will cause your wireless printing capability to be lost. This product is true garbage.
slow and makes irritating buzzing noise by gofer115 ,Aug 31 '09
Pros: Size. Cons: Many.
I just bought this to replace a HP 7310 that I had several years of trouble free service out of and this machine is MUCH slower, herky jerky, and makes an irritating buzzing noise when printing. The machine continues to operate and make printing noises for almost a full minute after the last page has printed. Very disappointed.
