Pros: Memory card slot, prints great, loads fairly large amount of paper, no jamming problems. Cons: The glass for the copier developed streaks in it so copy quality of photos diminishes.
Why did I buy and all-in-one? I do a lot of printing and copying at home and for church and needed a good all-in-one machine. When I went shopping I decided on a Hewlett Packard because they have a good name in office machines. When I bought ...

Pros: Great for low volume printing and scanning. Copying Excellent the first year, Okay the next. Cons: Expensive to operate if medium to heavy volume printing is required!
Purchased end of August, 2003. This hp psc 2175 model worked well (minor scanning and printing flaws) until, October 2005. The first year, I was Very impressed and used the printer often, for both printing and scanning. However, as time went on, I was ...

Pros: Looks attractive. Easy to use. Built-in memory card slots. Cons: Photos don't print high-quality. Dirty un-cleanable inside glass.
To be honest, I hate this thing. It looks good, it sounds good...it performs horrible. Okay, maybe I'm being a little harsh, but being someone who likes to take digital photographs and scan old 4x6 prints, I think this thing is a waste of money and works ...

Problems
by jrdj ,Jan 21 '06
Pros: Good printing quality. Easy to use Cons: A printer should last more than 1 year!
I loved the product until I changed the second ink cartridge. I then got an print cartridge error and HP couldn't resolve the problem over the phone. They wouldn't exchange the product because it was 2 days past the warranty expiration date. During the period where it was working, I loved the ease of use. Copy quality was great!

A true WORK HORSE
by estavan ,Aug 29 '05
Pros: Functional
Reliable
Cheap Cons: - Ink cartriges need to be larger
For the price, this is an excellent buy. For the past 10 years, I've bought HP products and have never been disappointed. This ALL-In-ONE printer is no different. I've been using it constantly for 2 years and so far it's running smooth.
Unfortunately, the ink tends to run out quickly but the quality of print is unmistakably high. Usually the cartriges are about $54.(can) but Stapples or Best Buy usually have compettitive pricing.
I think if someone is looking for functuality, reliability, and quality, they should give this printer a try becasue it will probably out last any desktop computer you'll buy in the next 10 years.

Unreliable and Finicky - I'll steer clear of HP Products
by alisondnj ,May 15 '06
Pros: It's nice to look at. It fits in my desk area. Cons: Poor performance from the start. After two years of trouble, I give up.
From the start, this HP PSC 2175 has been a headache. I bought it about two years ago because it came with a digital camera, which works fine. The printer is a whole different story. Right out of the box, the installation instructions are not well written. I have had to uninstall and reinstall the printer every time I've tried to use it lately, so believe me, I know the installation instructions by heart now. I will not buy another HP product for a long time. Their troubleshooting directions are poor, their technical support is non-existent for a 2-year old machine, unless I pay some ridiculous charge for support. No thanks, I've spent too much time already trying to get this machine to work. Don't buy one. You'll be sorry.
