Hewlett Packard Photosmart R742 Digital Camera

Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Broke when using it the first time.

When using the camera for the first time the lens froze open. I got a lens error and error number on the LCD. I called HP with the error number and they did not know what to tell me. I returned the camera for a Canon PowerShot SD750 (more money but MUCH nicer). I will not buy anything from HP other than printers from now on. For an inexpensive camera it did pretty well, until it died. You might have better luck than I did, I would advise to steer clear of it.

Pros: Small, easy to use
Cons: Poor quality pictures for 7mp

I have used this camera some for work and also for personal use.   It is a very simple, easy to use point and hsoot camera, with good basic shooting modes.   I was dissapointed in the picture quality though.   I have a Canon 5mp camera that takes much higher quality pictures than this can.    If you plan on using the camera for anything beyond snapping a few pictures here and there, I would get something different.
