Pros: The beautiful 4" VGA touch screen is the best! Cons: No phone for those who want to multitask; for me not a con.
First off, let me say that I use my handheld EVERY DAY for work. I am a primary care provider and I have software installed on my handheld to check medications, drug interactions, doses, etc. This I use with each and every patient I see (so ...

Pros: Great quality screen, long battery life, bluetooth and Wifi built in. Cons: No cradle included, weak speaker, power button no longer also controls backlight when held.
For about 5 years I had an HP iPaq hx4700, it died last December the day before I would have needed it the most (as a GPS) in those 5 years, just my luck! I ended up borrowing a GPS for the next day and went without a Pocket PC for about 2 ...

Ipaq 211
by zalek ,Jun 08 '08
Pros: Brighter screen, faster processor, convenient buttons Cons: expensive ($420)
My old Ipaq 4700 broke, so I decided to replace it with Ipaq 211. Was it worth? No. Why: Ipaq 211 is using stronger processor, but I didn't see big difference in speed between 4700 and 211. My impression is that my SD and CF cards are slow, and this is what slows 211 down. All my programs are installed on CF and SD cards. 211 has nicer colors, mini USB port, quickly recognizes external cards (4700 has some problems with this), power on button located on more convenient place, also has more convenient buttons.
My suggestion - don't replace Ipaq 4700 with Ipaq 211 - unless Bill Bates is your uncle. If you are looking for your first PDA - then go for it.
