Hill's Science Diet Prescription Diet Feline c/d Dry~Practically Saved My Cats Life

by ifif1938 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Mar 20 '07
Pros: The cats really seem to like it and eat every nugget I put out.
Cons: Expensive but worth it if it keeps them healthy
I can’t express how dismayed I am at this horrible news about the recall of pet food and the consequences to those poor dogs and cats whose loving owners fed them these foods only to have them get so sick that many of those prized pets couldn’t ...

by furryloo , Nov 04 '05
Pros: Works effectively if you follows the vet's orders and the cats will eat it.
Cons: Not natural, free of by-products, organic or fresh.
To see our personal experience with our cat and UTI, read below. WARNING TO READERS: If there is ANY blood in your MALE cat's urine, you must immediately take them to the vet, they can die within hours. The blood gets backed up in their ...

Expensive cat food thats worth it

by strat8854 , Jun 20 '06
Pros: Cats enjoy it, prevents urinary problems and has other health benefits.
Cons: Expensive, some vets require you to bring your (healthy) cat in for a check-up.
Sitting down to write this review I began to understand why I tend to write about computers and fast food restaurants… They’re something I can personally use/consume daily. Writing a review for cat food (which for the record I have never tasted) is a bit ...

not as costly or stressful as yet ANOTHER vet visit

by jodisims , Sep 22 '06
Pros: cats love it, seems to help with problems
Cons: promotes weight gain as stated by vet, prescription only food
It's true we've had fewer problems since putting our cats on this food for the past 9 months. Similar to another reviewer, we have a black furry cat that was abandoned and adopted us and therefore (I guess) he has severe separation anxiety issues. ...

3 cats with u/i's

by joie644 , Jan 22 '08
Pros: Cats love the taste. No u/i's have resulted since on food.
Cons: Cats want to be fed frequently. Weight gain. Sometimes constipated.
I have 3 unrelated female cats all diagnosed with urinary tract infections. What are the odds? My vet stated 3% of the cat population have u/i's. As I have read, the cause may be due to food, the food brands I used prior to the condition were: Blue ...

Pay Now or Pay Later...Hmmm What a Choice

by kta99999 , Apr 25 '05
Pros: Cleared up his medical issues quickly and seems to be holding it in check.
Cons: Expense and appearance...lol
I cringed at the thought of having to change cat foods for a couple of reasons. One, because I have the pickiest cats in the world and it was going to be a battle of wills, and honestly, the cost of the food. However, I loved my little "fatman" and I was ...

C/D miracle food for felines with blocking tendencies

by jjmb , Apr 19 '07
Pros: Saved on vet bills, all my cats love it.
Cons: Causes gas & extremely loose stool in some of the cats.
We have more stray cats than I care to number. With our first urinary blockage case, after surgery, the poor cat blocked a second and third time. By that time his liver and kidneys were shot and he couldn't be saved. Had he been on a strict diet of ...

Keep your cat away from SURGERY!
by ggrove33 ,Nov 19 '04
Pros: Health Benefits
Cons: Price
This food is one way to keep your cat healthy and avoid costly surgery or the loss of your pet. Most cat foods contain high levels of ash or magnesium and can lead to painful urinary tract infections, especially in male cats. This food will alleviate the problem caused by many cheaper cat foods and prevent cystitis.

The food is very small and can be consumed easily. The cost is quite a bit higher than the regular off the shelf cat food but the cost savings in vet bills and the amount consumed will offset this cost.
