Pros: Incredible allegory of our spiritual journey. Reminds me of the poem Foot Prints. Cons: Getting past character names. Better with second read.
Summary: Once I got into this book I was awed that it detailed our spiritual journey in such beautiful ways. The names of the characters, though hard to keep straight at first, are dead on. Aren't we all members of the Fearing family? Don't those other Fearing ... read more

Summary: This is a book I really couldn't get into. In fact I stopped reading it and gave it to my daughter. She did not like it either.

Pros: Motivates you to sell out to the Shepherd. Cons: you must be able to catch all the spiritual applications of the allegory in order to thoroughly enjoy the story.
Summary: The author has obviously walked with the Shepherd! She has insight into the relationship between Jesus and His elect whom He calls to higher places in Him.
