Pros: Brilliant action. good cast Cons: Too fast paced, lack of direction and lacks punch of the original.
Summary: Yay it’s remake viewing again! The need to redo an otherwise excellent movie in its first right but hey let’s make some money off of it. Well better just pop some popcorn and grab a soda. This is The Hitcher. ... read more

Pros: Lots of action and gore. Cons: Acting not as genuine as the original version.
Summary: I saw the original version of "The Hitcher" when it came out in the nineteen eighties. I totally loved it, watched it over a hundred times on VHS, and when that tape wore out, I received the DVD as a gift a few years ago. When I heard there was a ... read more

Pros: Bush and Knight are good, Bean is perfect as the evil hitchhiker, some good action Cons: too violent, needed a little work on dialogue, needed more development
Summary: C. Thomas Howell and Jennifer Jason Leigh went running from a violent hitchhiker (Rutger Hauer) back in 1986, and Hollywood thought it was time to re-new the film with a much flashier and updated version. The story didn't change much, rather choosing to ... read more

Pros: Sean Bean, One Cool Death Scene Cons: Plot, Ending, Script, Story, Very Repetitive Scenes
Summary: Produced by the same producers of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hitcher seemed like a good movie renting choice to me. It also seemed like a good choice because I also like Sean Bean and I believe that he is an excellent actor in Hollywood right now. ... read more

Pros: Sean Bean establishes John Ryder as one of the all-time great psycho killers.. Cons: May be too extreme for some audiences...
Summary: They punched so many holes in this one over at Rotten Tomatoes that I thought I'd come across the wrong movie. In fact, this turns out to be a remake of a 70's flick starring Rutger Hauer as John Ryder and C. Thomas Howell in the Jim Halsey role. It was ... read more
