HoMedics LSS-10H - I call it ‘Big Daddy'

by susidee34 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jan 19 '02
Pros: Heat, vibration - I'd marry it if I could
Cons: It doesn't answer when I talk to it

For Christmas last year (2000) my eldest got me a back massager. ‘Not to suggest that you are getting old Mommy (36 and still calls me Mommy) but to ease those tired muscles', he said with a smirk on his face. I harhumphed him, but...

I need a new Vibrator

by katopasna Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Mar 08 '02
Pros: Multi setting, cigarette lighter adapter
Cons: Loud, uncomfortable
This past Christmas my husband got me the Homedics BackMasseur LSS-10h since he says I spend a lot of time on my computer. I must admit I was excited to try this back massager but after a few days found out it isn’t all that it is cracked up to...

Expensive cat heating pad

by clooneyfan , Jan 17 '04
Pros: Good for back tension. Unlike my husband, the HoMedic doesn’t expect anything in return.
Cons: Not effective for neck problems. Nothing beats a professional massage.
I love a massage. I swear if I ever win the lotto for a million bucks, I will hire my own personal masseuse for daily rubdowns. I am always asking hubby for a massage but I only get about 2 minutes of light, ineffective rubbing. Then he’s in the ...

The Back Masseur! Oh, What a Relief it is!!

by elusive_blonde , Jan 05 '01
Pros: Aaaah! Numerous settings and features
Cons: A bit noisy
Nope! It won't replace my Massage Therapist, she doesn't need to fear for her job! However, when I can't get in for a massage right away, it does bring me relief!

I got the Homedics BackMasseur as a Christmas gift from my sister. She always...

Can't wait for the drive home.

by wovengold , Aug 03 '00
Pros: Heat, versatility of massage options
Cons: Lumbar area needs more padding
My husband recently received a 70% disability rating from the VA, much of it related to back injuries resulting from his military career. We live in a tiny Alaska community that is a 45-minute drive from his workplace, and the roads are pure, pitted hell...

How Do I Spell Relief ?...HoMedics !

by Broad49 , Dec 26 '00
Pros: wonderful pulsating massage & heat, individual controls, flexibility
Cons: none that I've experienced
As a pharmaceuticals sales manager with two herniated disks, periodic back pain has become almost a way of life for me. Obviously, the day will eventually come when the much dreaded laminectomy will become reality, but in the meantime, the HoMedics...

Relax while working

by zengeos , Nov 25 '00
Pros: multitude of settings, heated, low cost
Cons: no circular/rolling massage capability
Let me start off by saying that I have a bad back from a slip and fall accident nearly four years ago and I see a professional massage therapist almost weekly.

I was shopping at a major regional department store (which shall remain nameless...

Pros: very relaxing, has heat, and many settings
Cons: I cant use it enough
I have to say that I have a very bad back and to relieve my back pain can be a pain in the butt. I really could not afford much as far as products to help me. But a friend of mine helped me get this product. And I can not thank them enough.

Fibromyalgics Beware.
by mollymom48 ,Jan 19 '07
Pros: smooth, relatively quiet
Cons: far too intense for use by people with fibromyalgia doesn't do your shoulders and neck
I purchased this item at a store 100 km from my home, because at that time, it wasn't available in my city. I had tried it in the store, and thought I would like it as a supplement to my regular massage therapy. I want to say at this time, I am sure it is a good product, but not for people with fibromyalgia, who will try almost anything for relief.

Once home, I tried to use it many times, in many chairs, but I experienced some problems with it. I found that after a very short period of time, it was far too intense when it was near the fibro trigger points in the small of the back and near the shoulder blades. I had though I could use it lying on the couch with a pillow to get the massage balls further up to my neck and the points at the base of the skull, but again, it was far too intense.

I regretfully returned the product which involved a longish drive. I can see that if I did not have the pain hot spots associated with fibro, I would probably love this product.

fire hazard
by sandytim ,Nov 10 '06
Pros: Heat feels wonderful.
Cons: Gets to hot and starts on fire
I have fybromyalgia. I loved this back maseur with heat.
Until it started on fire! While being used. Be careful, and don't use it if you are alone and cannot move fast. Like me. Scary!

Works great! Don't go without it!
by bablondie25 ,Dec 01 '04
Pros: Awesome! Price is right!
Cons: None!
Instead of paying 1000$ for a massaging chair, why not buy this instead and put it in your chair? It works quite well surprisingly, I thought it would be light, but it can massage quite well.
My problem is finding where to store all my massaging equipment when I'm done with it!
If you find on sale, it's an excellent price.
This makes a good gift, I got it as a mother's day present.
