Pros: Completely silent. Adjustable thermostat. Grill design prevents burns. Light-weight. Cons: None so far.
This unit is an update of the H

Pros: Sleek, easy to assemble. Cons: Barely heats me and I'm just 3 feet away.
I bought this Bionaire BH3950 and after a week of use, I have decided to return it. Consider other heater I have seen, this heater is a nice looking heater. Now, here is the bad part....It's simply a horrible heater. There simply is ...

Pros: Didn't torch my house. Cons: Caught fire
I am writing this review as my Bionaire B3950 heater just caught fire. Thankfully I was at home when this occured. I started smelling an oil-like odor and my initial thought was that my new furnace or my new oil tanks were leaking oil. I live in an old ...

Bionaire BH3955 Micathermic Console heater
by parkdoc ,Jan 26 '08
Pros: Silent, works on lo or hi ok. 5 yr warranty. Cons: Poor wheel and temp gauge design and poor instructions.
My opinion after 2 hours is that it is going back to the store. The manual does not provide complete information. Some information in the manual applies to a different unit. The wheels are not correctly manufactured and fall off. The digital temperature indicator is off by about 10 degrees on the high side. Apparently it is affected by the heat from the unit. It does not draw 12.5 amps on high as described, it draws 13.5 amps on high. Is it just my unit that is defective?...I don't know. It has many advantages and is quite nice, but it doesn't work as promised. Manual also refers to a dial and since my unit is digital, it is not applicable. I called the 800 number, pushed the item for service and of course they are not open on Saturdays. My other two Bionaire ceramic heaters with similar features work fine. Bionaire needs to go back to the drawing board on this one and actually test it with real consumers before they sell the unit.

Heats Well, but Very Poor Design
by review09 ,Dec 11 '09
Pros: heats well, light, looks good, does not blow air Cons: mechanical defect in on/off switch, click on/off noise (very light)
We love the way it heats up and maintains the temperature. As we are in California, we use the heater for about three months out of a year. In the first season, it worked great as it was supposed to. During the second season, the faulty on/off switch melted. We ended up replacing the mechanical component behind the switch three times by the third season. We noticed that the prior model BH3900 also has the same mechanical defect.

The worst HEATER I have ever bought
by mamiotwins ,Dec 07 '09
Pros: Quiet its not noticeable just like the heat Cons: Don't waste your money or gas I know that you will end up driving back
very nice sleek with wheels to allow you to move it around...maybe they thought the consumer should not have to bother with it when there wheeling it back to the store for their refund.
I left it all night long and I swear it was like there was nothing there no heat and no noise. NOTHING.
