Pros: Inexpensive; both blower and vacuum functions Cons: Not very powerful, although good for typical jobs
It's fall. Fall means leaves. Leaves mean raking. I hate raking - it interferes with football. So, this year, the wife and I decided to cut my misery and get me something to make the process quicker and easier, leaving the chores done ...
Pros: powerful blower; innovative design and styling; convenient kill switch; easy-to-fill gas tank; relatively quiet operation Cons: off-center air stream and vertical impeller make it hard to maneuver; lots of handle vibration
This blower has some neat features. In addition to its cool styling, It is different in functional design from most of the gas-powered blowers you will encounter because the impeller is vertical rather than horizontal, and the air output is off-center...
Pros: Reasonably quiet Cons: Poor quality in parts and design, poor durability, poor value.
First, allow me to hazard a guess as to why you're reading this article- you're shopping around for a yard blower. Whether you do or don't buy a Vac Attack or a blower at all, you need to consider what you want out of your buying experience, and how...
Pros: powerful blower, good price Cons: poor part and build quality, very expensive for three months use
When we moved into an older home with well established oak trees last summer, I decided I could finally justify a leaf blower/vac. Having used a number of older Homelite products through the years, I settled upon this model from Home Depot. It worked ...
I live in the country, and use to dread the coming of fall. Oh, it was great not having to mow the yard anymore. But, when you have a yard as large as mine and filled with trees, the leaves can become quite a problem. I saw my neighbor using this...
I bought a Homelite Vac Attack II about a year ago when my Black & Decker blower-vac died after several years of dependable service. I thought a gas-powered machine would be more convenient than the corded B&D and the features and price of the Vac ...
Pros: gas-powered, mulching vac Cons: difficult to transist from blower to vac
I have been using my Homelite blower/vac for over a year, and have not had a single problem with it. It has a powerful blower which will clear grass of the driveway in half a minute with great ease. The vac is exceptional at picking up leaves in the...
I purchased this yard vac after having a horrible experience with a craftsman yard vac that I purchased at my local sears store. At first glance the Homelight Vac Attack looks pretty good but then you try to use it. In the blowing mode the device ...
Pros: Great power, mulching feature is wonderful Cons: cord falls out of socket too easily
My husband and I received this as a housewarming gift and I love it. Sometimes I feel like throwing stuff on the ground just so I can play with it! The Vac Attack has great power and does an excellent job in moving leaves and other debris - watch out...
i have a very large yard and a blower like this comes in handy for the large amount of yard that i have to remove leaves from. this is a very powerful and reliable tool. i do have to agree blowers are very loud when using any loud yard tool i do suggest...
I do allot of yard work for neighbors, and with a friend at his house we do allot of yard work for a lady. She has a bigger lot with some wooded area. Well after three years of just passing by fall and not raking the wooded area she wants to put grass...
Pros: Good power and reasonably low vibration. Cons: Very poor design and cheaply made. No durability.
This is my second Homelite Blower. The first was well built and durable. I used it for almost ten years before it wore out. The VacAttack is cheep and broke in less than six months. The plastic hub for the pull cord broke and jammed the recoil and broke the pull cord and the recoil.
Very disappointed in this Vac/Blower by sjbail ,Nov 11 '06
Pros: Runs well when it is new. Easy starting. Cons: Poor durability. Use only occasionally for light duty work.
During the first uses of the machine, I thought the power was good, and it always started. But after using it at full speed while blowing out my leaf clogged roof gutters, it must have overheated, as now it will not run at anything more than an idle. It sounds like it needs a tuneup, and it also has a bad case of knocking (piston slap?). I have not used it as a Vac, but after seeing what others are saying about the impeller cracking/breaking, I will just bite the bullet and buy a more expensive machine.
Pros: Nice looking Cons: Hard to start, poorly and cheaply constructed
The VacAttach by Homelite is poorly and cheaply constructed and extremely difficult to start. After using is on a limited basis for about 5 months, the starter rope snapped and was not covered by the Homelite warranty. Trying to disassemble it to replace the rope required a long-arm hex wrench which I did not have. Done deliberately in my opinion to force you to bring it to a dealer for service. There are better options out there.
