Pros: Smoothness, acceleration, visibility, not flashy Cons: Leg room in 3rd row, driver's seat comfort The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to all who love safety, reliability, vehicle control, space, and overall value. Not to mention, ever hear of the re-sale value of Honda's
I have a large family (myself, my wife, and six children) and we use the car often. Everybody is comfortable and happy in the car although i regret not buying the DVD system and the leather trim. Little ones need to be in the back, the 3rd row seat...

Pros: Nice quiet ride Cons: Expensive to repair, power steering issues The Bottom Line: Nice SUV, new or used. Not cheap though
We purchased our Pilot 2003 used two years ago. Miles were high ( 75 K), but price was right ( $18,000 at Toyota dealer with 3% car loan). Pilot, as other Honda vehicles, holds value pretty well. I still see 2003 Pilots for over 20 G's if miles are low. ...

Pros: Horsepower, roomy interior, hidden storage, build quality, maneuverability Cons: Hard seats, no memory, activity tray makes the back on the middle 2nd-row seat uncomfortable The Bottom Line: Seems to be a very well made vehicle, very roomy, easy to handle, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering an SUV or minivan.
I recently traded my 2002 Buick Rendezvous with 15000 miles for a new Honda Pilot. The only area in which the Rendezvous beat the Pilot was seat comfort. I'm disappointed with several things about the seats in the Pilot, but all things considered I'm...

Pros: The 8 seater option is great for an SUV that is not too big. Cons: Out of date styling The Bottom Line: Honda always does well figuring out what consumers really need in a vehicle. They will sell a lot of these. The Pilot is a very good vehicle.
Unlike the Passport (Isuzu Rodeo sibling), the Honda Passport is all HONDA.
General Appearance.
1. It looks boxy in certain angles but show some hint of aerodynamic styling.
2. The wheels seems rather small for its size. It...

Pros: Handling, Wind stablity, Resale Cons: Other than the above, this is just average. Hum drum The Bottom Line: I like the explorer, highlander and mdx better. Acura dealers seem more freindly and careing and the ford is better for familys. Highlander is perfect for mature couples
We had a 1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Baure with 112K. We had just started looking for our odyssey van and decided to start looking at replacing the explorer as well. We drove a new explorer first, but after owning 5 of them and a jeep grand cherokee, we ...

Pros: Fuel economy, maintenance costs, ride and performance, retained value, utility. Cons: Tow rating, lack of skid plating, hitch price, knee hits shifter in 1-2 The Bottom Line: It met my wants and needs so I ordered one, good fuel economy, fun to drive, Honda reliability, Honda retained value.
Dollars:
I am Canadian so all will be CND $'s.
In Canada they cost $42,000 for the EX or $44,000 for the EX-L with freight included. The only difference is leather trim and heated seats. To me this is a great value for an 8...

Pros: 3rd Row seating, DVD System, Honda Reliability Cons: Handling, Seats, Looks, Interior Space, Build Quality. The Bottom Line: If must have a Honda suv, get an MDX. There about the same as far as price goes.
First Impression:
I drove this on a test drive. I wanted to compare it to my explorer. The one I drove was a loaded out EX with DVD system. The black paint had multipule scratches and wasn't as glossy as I would have expected. Plus the exterior had...

Pros: Handling, Ride, Gas Mileage, Power, Rear Seat Cons: Problems with Honda North America, Horrible Seats, Horrible Dash Layout The Bottom Line: Its a nice suv, but its over priced and its dealer and corperate network are to corrupt for words
We decided to buy an 03 pilot and an 03 explorer, both in november 2002..We liked them both and because we needed to cars, we decided to splurge and buy both..We traded a 96 Explorer and a 96 Accord for them (the accord for the pilot and the explorer for ...

Pros: Quality, roominess, flexibility Cons: blind spots, gas cap, power window control, rear seat setup The Bottom Line: This is a solid, well built SUV for doing about everything a 'normal' family would want to do
After much research and many test drives we bought a Honda Pilot LX. 'We' are your average family, 2 adults, to kids (3 and 6 yrs old) and 2 dogs (which counts as the extra 0.5 child!) We've had the Pilot for about a month now, so I'll describe our ...

Pros: Honda's reliability, Spacious interior, great craftmanship. Cons: It is a minivan based SUV, so 4WD is just for bad on-road weather. The Bottom Line: I strogly recommend this SUV for anyone looking for reliabitly and a safety. Honda has a great reputation and the pilot is sure to ensure that.
I have been recently been shopping around for a larger vehicle. I found myself wanting an S.U.V. I read every single magazine avaible and the list of SUV's avaible is endless. Car based, Minivan Based (like the Pilot), Truck Based, Multi-fuction...

Pros: VTEC engine is very quiet, reliable, and powerful. Great outward visibility. Car like ride. Cons: No heated outside rearview mirrors. Navigation system has limited "mapping" for some Olympic Peninsula locations. The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend the Pilot. It is a good value for the money. Its versatility and car like ride with off road ability makes it a winner.
I was going to purchase the new Accord. Test drove the accord and the pilot. I liked the driving position and outward visibility of the pilot. The Variable Torque Management 4 wheel drive system for off road conditions made the pilot my choice. The ride...

Pros: Decent HP, ergonomics, interior space, ride, good handling for an SUV. Cons: Some controls should have been illuminated, lack of some basic accessories. The Bottom Line: Excellent vehicle for the price! Excellent customer service! Excellent all around package!
I purchased this vehicle 3 weeks ago and must say it has, and will continue to be a pleasure to drive. Though I had researched and had been very interested in the Pilot since its roll-out... I had planned to keep a '97 Honda Passport and invest in a 'ca ...

Pros: Quiet, comfortable ride. Safe. Large cargo area. Cons: Horrible radio/sound even in EX. Steering too_light. Saggy leather seats. Uninspiring handling. Expensive maintenance schedule. The Bottom Line: Buy a Toyota Highlander.
My pilot is only 2 weeks old and I am still not sure if I like it or not. I bought it for the following reasons: larger family, all the rave reviews, my friend told me he loved it, and because of supposedly good Honda quality. Cons: I did test drive i ...

Pros: Cargo capacity, 3rd row seating; nice ride Cons: cargo shifting; no driver seat memory; visibility for some drivers The Bottom Line: Almost a MDX for quite a bit less. What else is there to say?
So far, this has been a great vehicle. The ride is smooth - we will be going on a long road trip next summer. There is plenty of room, the gas mileage is good but not great but better than most comparable SUVs. The cargo area with the third row seat put...

Pros: Honda reliability, easy to drive, room for the family and stuff, creature comforts Cons: Priced a little high, third row tight, a little boring in the "looks" category The Bottom Line: A great quasi-luxury SUV with Honda reliability, room for several passengers and good gas mileage. An excellent alternative to the minivan.
I use my SUV for work and for my family. I am in the construction business and my work takes me to many destinations each day. My company also allows me to reasonably choose my vehicle and use it liberally for personal use. This is a great "perk" and...
