Pros: Removeable battery, great suction, lightweight, quiet, brush roller turns on and off, easy to clean. Cons: Price.
I have become something of a vacuum expert; not by choice but circumstance. I have had a Riccar Radiance (the Ferrari of uprights, but at $899.), various Hoovers, Electroluxes, Eureka and Sears and Dyson. Iv'e had both canister and upright, ...

Hoover Platinum stick vacuum model # BH50010
by mr2trimble ,Aug 04 '09
Pros: light weight, powerful, lithium batteries, replacement parts, wind tunnel, easy to clean, design. Cons: at present I have none but with time everything will develops some quirk of annoyance.
OMG, OMG, OMG, I just put this vac togeather and it took all of 5 min. put the battery in to test, then charged for 3 hours. stuck it in the slot and started sucking up all the cat hair left by my 4 cats on the hard floors and carpets. OMG, This thing has the power of many corded units. Had to empty the canister twice before battery stopped. Didn't buy this vac to do the whole house but could if I didn't want to do it all at once. Could buy another battery if wanted more run time. Have had the elecrolux Pront 2 in 1 stick and it bit the dust in less than a year. Motors and batteries just would not last and you couldn't buy replacement parts. Batteries were fixed in unit. The changable lithium cartridge is easy and keeps the motor running strong until the charge runs out, (12 to 15 min).

Hoover Linx Cordless
by jackiestad ,Aug 05 '09
Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, easy to empty the dirt-catcher.. Cons: Would like to have a longer battery life so I could vac the upstairs.
I purchased this machine at my local Target. I have had it about a month now. Love it! I have a Chocolate Lab Puppy who is shedding his puppy fur. With about 2000 sq. feet of ceramic tile and hardwood on the main level of my house, I had to have something that would help keep it all clean. The Hoover cordless is great! I use it daily for picking up dog hair and whatever else "Track" tracks in. In the past, I have used dustmops, swiffers, even got out the Electrox vac. But this machine is the easiest and has great suction. The battery on mine will last about 25-30 min. If I use it every day or every other day, that's plenty. Batery takes about 2 hours to fully charge. I would like to find a way to use it on the stairs.

Don't Waste Your Money
by f150superman ,Aug 30 '09
Pros: Lightweight Cons: VERY poor battery life, non-exitent customer service
Do your research before wasting your money on this vac. I did before purchasing the Platinum Stick Vac, but disregarded the huge number of negative reviews I found. I now wish I'd given them more credit. I'm out $170.00 for an almost useless product and Hoover's customer service is non-exitent. From the very first charge, the battery would only last 15 minutes at best, half that if the brush roll was used. I contacted customer service 3 times and got NO response. Consumers need to stop purchasing from this company. A company that puts out inferior products at a premium price and then ignores it post sale customers, does not deserve to be in business.

Hoover Cordless LInx
by jenblosom ,Apr 26 '09
Pros: Cordess obviously, light weight, good suction power Cons: Low battery power, small canister, no tools for hard to reach places
I purchased this vacuum from Target for $179.00. I waited 48 hours for the battery to charge (did not fully charge even after 48 hours) to test the vacuum. The suction is great on both carpet and hardwoods but the battery only lasted for 15 minutes. I recharged the battery a second time (another 48 hours later) with the same 15 minute time limit. I found myself ramming the vacuum into furniture trying to squeeze every last second out of the very disappointing battery life. In short, the light and cordless LInx is convienent but I can't be limited to vacuuming only one section of the house per day. This product is just not practical for a house with more than one tenant.
