Pros: Excellent jet therapy. Easy to use, no programming. Easy to maintain. Energy efficient. Cons: All jets can't be used simultaneously. SpAudio is not offered with the Sovereign.
The spa was redesigned in 2003. It no longer looks like the spa in the picture. Kind of a mirror image since the lounge was moved to the opposite side. The new Hot Spring Highlife model retains the design of the old Sovereign in the picture, but it is ...
Pros: Great Spa, unique jets for each sitting place Cons: Expensive
My wife and I tested about 5 different brands of spas. We did a "wet sitting" in the top 3. After the wet test the choice was rather simple : Hot Springs simply make the best spas around.
The spa was set up and leveled for us in the backyard....
Pros: Great quality and workmanship Cons: Shallow depth for 6 people
We recently bought the sovereign with the upgraded white endural shell and ozone option. The spa was delivered to our house and set up in the back yard on the concrete pad occupied by a 10+ year CAL-Spa. The old spa was hauled away. The spa was very...
Pros: Comfort, adjustable jets; cleaning cycle; massage lounger; very roomy Cons: Lounger needs booster chair for short people.
I had never bought a spa before. When we decided to sell one house and buy another one, we knew that a spa would be an essential for the new home. We began reading everything we could on the web, collecting brochures and looking at different spas in...
Pros: -Great relaxation experience. Cons: Local dealers generally do not carry hot spring accessories.
-Great product with great features. We particularly like the motomassage feature. You can control the intensity of all the jets -Advise: Take time to PLAN AHEAD and look for the exact location (play with different locations for your spa). This ...
Buying a spa is a huge investment, especially when you want to purchase a good one. There are many reasons why we did buy one and specifically, the Hot Spring Spa. I have always wanted a spa...to relax at the end of a crazy day at work and look up at...
Pros: Moto massage lounger, foot jets, ease of maintenance, energy efficiency Cons: Moto massage lounge too deep for my wife; not enough beverage holders
Ain't it great to own a Sovereign spa by Hot Spring? We are a family of 3 adults. In 2003, my wife was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and her doctor prescribed a spa to ease her neck pain. After extensive online research followed by visiting ...
Pros: High quality, easy to maintain, easy to use, awesome jets. Cons: More expensive than I was expecting. Not enough cup holders (only 2).
We knew nothing about hot tubs when we started looking. We had tried several at vacation rental homes so we knew what type of features we were looking for. Hot Springs are great because they require no plumber! You do have to pay for an electrician, ...
Pros: Strong jets. Sleek design. Easy to operate. Cons: Not cheap
I used to be a hot tub maintenance man 20 years ago. After my wife and I bought a house in Northern California recently we researched in depth all the models of hot tubs, including amenities, price, energy consumption, buyer satisfaction, etc. We also ...
Pros: Great sales pitch, dealer was responsive until warranty ran out. Cons: Leaked repeatedly and was difficult for dealer to fix.
Am sorry to report that my experience with Hot Spring can only be compared to that of a Yugo owner. When I bought my tub, and paid about $7000.00 for it, I was assured how strong the shell was and that leaks were out of the question. To illustrate the ...
Pros: great warranty, great service, best ozone system on the market. Very inexpensive to run. Cons: none, this spa is perfect in every way
Hot Spring Spas, all of them, are awesome. The price is reasonable considering what you get. %100 filtration, Best ozonator on the market, great service and warranty, cost of running is extremely affordable. My PG&E bill only went up $10. Who else...
Pros: Nice size, seats well laid out, good jet configuration. Cons: Bad reliabilty. Cost of ownership is too high with all the repairs.
We bought this tub in September of 2001 and were very happy with it in the beginning. I too was assured by the dealer that this was the best tub out there for reliability. In the beginning I ran it on 120V and just this year paid to have it upgraded ...
Pros: looks good Cons: overrated power with a horrible heater.
I purchased the hot spring sovereign thinking is was going to be such a great spa, but I was wrong. It had a heater in it that caught my spa and deck on fire! Since then they have had 3 different heater designs and can't seem to get it right. The spa was under jetted anyway and way over valued. ISO9001 is overrated along with consumer digest best buy. Some best buy, a spa on fire and destroyed my deck. There will surely be a lawsuit over this. Stay clear of Hot Spring as they don't have a clue on how to produce and manufacturer a good heating element.
Pros: Powerful jets, very relaxing, Everfresh system is very low maintenance. Cons: Unreliable, expensive to service and maintain.
I purchased my Sovereign model in June of 2000. In the first 3 years of ownership the "no fault" heater was replaced 2 times. For the past 6 months, the heater regularly (weekly, sometimes daily) causes the circuit to break. Usually its just the heater breaker on the spa breaker box, but sometimes its the breaker for the whole spa on the main breaker box. My dealer has been out to service the spa repeatedly and insists that there is nothing wrong with the heater. On his last visit he replaced the IQ board but that has not solved the problem. I've also had the electrician who wired the spa out to check the wiring and circuits and he can find nothing wrong there. I also have a whole-house surge protector on the house, so that's not the problem either. I would not recommend a Hot Spring spa to anyone.
To many breakdowns and high repair cost by okemosdan ,Sep 26 '07
Pros: Great seating, Love the jets, heat bills lower then expected Cons: Frequent major repairs,
Installed in spring of 2000. When it runs I love my sovereign. Since 2000 I have replaced heater, pump, thermostat, interior control (twice) and part of the tubing. I went through a period where I had to use the interior reset on the heater almost weakly. And who design that reset button? Almost impossible to reset. There appears to be no one locally who will stand behind the sovereign they sold me. While I still enjoy the hot tube, I would strongly not recommend a sovereign or a Hot Springs product. Very unreliable and expensive. For a $7,000 hot tube I have over $2,000 in repairs.
