  • Husqvarna 123l Straight Shaft Trimmer... Still have 2 in perfect use and their 7yrs old

Pros: Very light and comfortable to use. Excellent trimmers !!!!!!!
Cons: Protection guard is a little to big.

Summary: As you all have been aware I've been a major Homelite product user over the years, but now supply in my region does not fit demand. I bought two Husqvarna 232L trimmers a few months ago and have been very happy with that product, but I needed a few more. ... read more

  • All String Trimmers Should Be Like This One!

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Aug 17, 2005
Pros: Light weight, good balance, excellent engineering
Cons: A bit more expensive than average

Summary: My story is like so many sad stories. I used a Weed-Eater brand string line trimmer for the past decade. Granted the tool lasted ten years, but it was heavy and poorly balanced with the motor right under the handle. I secretly could not wait for it to ... read more

  • Shelling out for a Husque?

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community

Pros: Flawless performance, dependable and powerful. Distinctive orange body that says "I paid $300 for this!"
Cons: Gas tank could be bigger, the 123L support none of the fancy Husqvarna attachments.

Summary: I had flat worn- out several string trimmers before I moved out of the city and into a small horse farm. There was more fence and ditches than I could manage with grass whips and my old reconditioned McCullogh trimmer. I admit, I was really tempted with ... read more

  • Outstanding trimmer

    May 8, 2005
Pros: Powerful, lightweight, good reach, starts every time
    Cons: None!

Summary: I had a homelite and then a craftsman. I got fed up with using them, because the line wont feed or it took to much time to fill the head with new wire. I finally bought a Husqvarna because it was taking too long to edge and trim my house and also ... read more

Pros: absolutely no maintenance after five years
    Cons: none

Summary: I bought the 123L five years ago.  To date, I fill it with gas, start it with ease week after week, leave it in the garage all winter and start over again each spring.  I just put on a new trimmer head today, a very simple

Pros: does everything you expect, easy to use
Cons: compared to other units I have used there are no complaints

Summary: I purchased a returned unit from Lowes at a discount. The trigger was broken and repaired and there was no instructions with it. I can see how someone could break the trigger by not holding the safety lever down. I figured that out and the unit is great,

Pros: Lightweight, good balance, plenty of power.
Cons: None found as of yet.

Summary: I asked for a new trimmer for Father's Day and received the Husqvarna 123L. I had 'asked' for a 4 cycle, but the 2 cycle 123L showed up. After reading some reviews, I decided to stick with the 2 cycle and give it a chance. I was not disappointed!

Pros: light, well balanced, good start, low vibration
Cons: some adjustment needed to get used to counter clockwise spinning head and straight shaft.

Summary: Just picked up the 123L at the local mower store and used it twice so far. Paid $199 with a tank of gas. It has great balance, starts easy and seems to cut fairly well. I am tired of buying the cheap $50-$75 ones that only run well for one season

  • My new favorite tool

    May 11, 2005
    Pros: Smooth, powerful, light weight.
    Cons: Can't find any.

Summary: The local Sears store had one of these that was returned after what looked like about 60 seconds of use. Because it was 'used' they knocked the price down to $139. I've operated a lot of trimmers and this is my favorite. It's powerful, starts and idles
