Pros: Exterior styling, power, room, quietness, price Cons: Stiff front seatbacks, low rear seat, non-folding front passenger seat, slippery wheel The Bottom Line: Much improved over the 2006, definitely worth a look before buying a Highlander or Pilot.
I've never been a fan of the original Hyundai Santa Fe for a simple reason: my eyes thought it odd, lumpy-bumpy exterior to be hideous. If this weren't enough, while acceleration with the larger of two available V6s was fairly quick, handling was mushy. ...

Pros: Rides well. Extremely quiet engine. Cons: Our vehicle didn't come with floor mats. The Bottom Line: This was a great price for us to get into a new vehicle. It runs great, looks good, and I love the smell of a new vehicle.
Len just loves to change his vehicles, so I wasn't at all surprised that each time we went for a service on either of our vehicles, the salesman at Hyundai would try to do a deal. Len had the 2005 Santa Fe and it only had 14,000 miles on it. We had ...

Pros: Appearance, comfortable, price, safety, AWD, reliable Cons: Gas mileage (AWD), had to get LTD to get AWD The Bottom Line: We are very satisfied with our Santa Fe, which has accomodated our new baby's car seat and gone on many road trips.
Before having my baby girl, I drove a Subaru Outback wagon. It was safe and had room for most daily activity, but once my daughter grew out of her infant seat, we started thinking about getting another car. We wanted something a bit roomier and would ...

Pros: Warrantee, price, luxury features Cons: gas mileage could be better The Bottom Line: You need to check out this car - you will be pleasantly surprised!
Prior to my Hyundai Santa Fe, I was driving a 2004 BMW X3 3.0 and LOVED it. I had no regrets, other than the fact that it was a leased car and I knew that one day I would need to part with it. Although we thought about buying our X3 because we liked ...

Pros: Acres of space. Oodles of boy's toys. Quiet. Comfortable. Superb value. Cons: None really. Fair fuel economy with the auto. The manual is probably a bit better. The Bottom Line: Superb family car, excellent value, acres of space. Best buy.
We're fast approaching the 6 month and 9000 mile mark so I feel confident to talk about the car in some detail. We opted for the 2.2 CRTD CDX 5 seat auto. Do I miss the 7 seats? No. Do I love the under floor storage that I get instead? YES! But more ...

Pros: Refinement in mid-$20,000's, storage compartment in rear, interior design, radio mute on steering wheel Cons: Hard plastic trim components, nutty stereo reception The Bottom Line: Worth a look, despite what you my remember from Hyundai. A viable competitor to the RAV4 and CR-V.
I found myself asking this question after seeing largely positive reviews of the 2007 redesigned Hyundai Santa Fe. The Azera first got my attention, but I was in the market for an SUV. I'd like to relate my research, others considered, what led me to the ...

Pros: In this vehicle class the basic Santa Fe GLS is huge bang for the buck. Cons: It would be nice to get leather seats without having to buy other options. The Bottom Line: You don't have to spend a ton on options to get a really nice Santa Fe. The base model is alot of car.
My wife loved her Mountaineer for 125,000 miles. When she finally decided to give it up for better gas mileage we looked at many SUV's. We drove the Saturn Vue (2006), Highlander, Rav 4, Mercury Mariner/Mazda Tribute, Suburus, the Santa Fe and others. ...

This review is of the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited w/ touring and ultimate packages. We purchased our Santa Fe in Dec. of 2006 and so far it has been awesome. I never thought that I would buy a Hyundai but I was wowed by the quality and surprised how ...

Pros: price, quiet engine, smooth ride, warranty Cons: Gas mileage is bad, hard to see when backing up, panic button location on remote The Bottom Line: Give it a try. It is a better value than Honda.
We bought our Santa Fe back in May and it is definitely a step up from our Ford Focus. The main reason we bought this vehicle is that we felt we would be safer in a larger vehicle. The safety ratings are excellent for this SUV. It is a good size for an ...

Pros: Comfortable supportive seats, quietness, roominess, styling, great bang for the buck. Cons: The bright blue backlighting on the dash displays can't be dimmed at night. The Bottom Line: If you're in the market for a mid-sized SUV and you don't need off-road capability, you owe it to yourself to check out the 2007 Santa Fe.
My primary requirement for a new car is superior comfort when sitting behind the wheel. As I have gotten older, I find that my legs are stiff and sometimes even cramped after a full day of driving and riding in our Accord and Camry. I wanted something ...

Pros: Great Luxury Features, Beautiful Interior, Quiet, Smooth, and Sporty Cons: So So Gas mileage, No MP3 input jack, fog lights cannot operate without headlights The Bottom Line: I was not planning on buying an SUV, but this vehicle gave so much for the money I could not pass it up despite increasing gas prices.
I traded in a 2005 Scion XB for a 2007 Santa Fe SE. The XB was a great little car; it got great gas mileage, had an incredible amount of interior room for its size. Unfortunately it lacked features like cruise control, the interior was all hard cheap ...

I bought the 2007 Santa Fe in Feb 2008. I bought it new and got a really good deal because it was last year's model (paid under $20K). I did have to bring it back to the dealership once before it had 200 miles on it because it needed a new fuel ...
