Pros: Amazing food, superb service Cons: Long wait, crowded bar
Just had dinner here last night - what a meal!
We had reservations for 8 o'clock, but when we got there we were told to wait 20 minutes. Ok, so far so good - for something that Zagat's rates as a 27 out of 30, I'm willing to wait 20 minutes....
Pros: The Whole Experience Cons: Hard to Get Reservations
I have been very lucky in my lifetime to eat at some wonderful places. Many of these places have faded in my memory. Il Mulino is not one of those dining experiences that you can easily forget. This place is memorable for many reasons.
Pros: Italian food beyond anything else in NYC
Reasonable wine prices Cons: Long waits, even with a reservation
The battle for NYC Italian supremacy has come down to Babbo, a Mario Batalli restaurant, and Il Mulino, an old-world establishment serving traditional Italian dishes. Babbo is trendier and serves more eclectic dishes while Il Mulino serves many of the ...

Pros: Good food, Good Service Cons: Bad reservation policy, crowded
My friends and I had long considered Il Mulino to be the best Italian restaurant in NYC and I ate there periodically for years. This was especially easy because I lived 3 blocks away. Although I never considered myself a "regular", Fernando,...
Pros: Located within the beautiful San Juan Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Cons: Poor service and horrible food.
My wife and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton in San Juan, PR this past weekend and had dinner at Il Mulino which was located off the lobby of the hotel and directly adjacent to the noisy casino floor. We were hoping for a nice dining experience but was very ...
Pros: the most amazing meal I ever had Cons: hard to get in, expensive
Literally, I can not describe in words how good the food is here. They make you feel like royalty with the attentive service. Come very hungry because they fill up the table with free appetizers and treats. At the end of the meal, you are served complimentary Grappa--the Italian liquor. I have eaten at many fine restaurants across America and believe me--this is THE BEST.
