Great Home Gym!
by misterluh ,Feb 03 '04
Pros: Value, ease of use, smooth mechanics, 2 weight stacks
Cons: Large size, long assembly time
This is a great home gym at a decent price. I could get a good total body workout from this machine. If you typically use free-weights you will notice the difference in actual weight vs. resistance weight. The set includes a chart of the different weight amounts for each exercise and depending on pin placement. I'm not sure how accurate they are but you get a good workout. In the pictures on the box and instructions the chest/butterfly station is on the left and the lat bar/leg station is on the right. It doesn't tell you this in the manual but you can reverse this simply by attaching one of the upright pieces to the opposite side. This may work better for some depending on your room dimensions.

Very good home gym
by kmcivor ,Jul 20 '05
Pros: compact, good pads, inexpensive. Fit's nicely in a corner allowing easy access around it. Cons: the throw on many exercises is a little short. not enough weights.
The MWM 1800 is a great little home gym for the price. Many different exercises and sturdy construction. Supplement the gym with a few free weights and a bench and you've got all you need for a great workout. I can fit the gym, a treadmill, recumbent cycle and some free weights and a television/radio in a spare bedroom.
