Infinity Reference 6952i Car Speaker

Pros: Good Price, and great performance. These 6 by 9's are amazing
Cons: The warranty for a speaker like this could be a little bit longer.

About a year ago I picked up these speakers and I haven't been disappointed. I paid about $150 for them at Circut City and they handle up to 300 watts.

Pros: Great sound response frequency range
Cons: they disintegrate in the sun

I have a pair of these Infinity Ref 6952i speakers.
They sounded GREAT.... ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!!!!!
until the white speaker diaphragms disintegrated
from the suns rays.

I am, overall, EXTREMELY disappointed by this turn of events.
The speakers were properly boxed and grilled and mounted on the back deck of my 1994 Buick Regal Custom....
under a tinted rear window.

Great speakers for an " in the darkness " application, but
beware if you plan to install them ANYWHERE that the sun's rays will hit them...

***Note***
I have been told by the company that this particular series speaker had a recognized problem with the UV coating.
They are replacing the speakers with series REF9612I speakers for me free of charge.

good sound, deep base, worth the money, little distortion at loud volumes, but that is to be expected. swivel tweeter is cool for nice imaging. larger woofer, i would recommend then to anyone except big compations guys.
