It's a dog's life. At no time before have these words come to represent our love for these furry little guys who give us unbridled love and who have become important household members. We spend countless billions on our pets and the marketers of nutri ...
Pros: The most healthy, well-balanced ingredients I've seen! Cons: None.
MY EXPERIENCE: Natura's Innova Puppy dry food is one of the best, if not the best, dry dog food brands on the market today. And Ill explain why by not only sharing my experience w/ this product, but by also listing the ingredients found in ...
Pros: Great taste, light coloring (not overcooked), excellent ingredients (some freeze dried!) Cons: It's not raw!
My family and I just got a Keeshond puppy and for weeks before he arrived I studied ALL kinds of doggy diets. I came to the conclusion that I would LIKE to feed a raw meat diet because obviously that's what their systems are designed to digest. However ...
Pros: Can't beat the ingredients, great company, good taste, great kibble size Cons: Can be too rich, availability, price
I did a lot of research on dog food before deciding which brand to feed our puppy. I bought several books on dog nutrition, the dog food industry, etc. so that I would truly understand what was a good dog food vs. what wasn't. I decided on Innova based ...
Pros: All Natural, Meat based, less bloat and less runny stools Cons: Expensive, but worth it.
I have an Olde English Bullgogge puppy (Putt-putt), he is now 14wks old. I've been feeding him the Innova lg. breed puppy food since we got him at 8wks. I did exstensive research before buying this food, since he will be big boned and heavy for eventual ...
Pros: Good ingredients, palatable, less stool formation. Cons: Expensive! Limited availability in my area.
My 9 month old terrier mix had been on a prescription dies (IVD Development Formula) since I got her from the SPCA. She was on antibiotics and had a staph infection. Now that she's better, I decided that I need to get a food that would be more ...
Pros: No animal byproducts, all natural Cons: Expensive, hard to find, and no large dog formula
We started buying Innova dry cat food a couple years ago, and were very impressed with it. The cats loved it, and besides the obvious benefits of natural ingredients, it had an additional benefit...no artificial coloring that can stain carpeting when the...
Pros: Lots of healthy ingredients Cons: Expensive, can be hard to find
This past year we adopted an 8-week old boxer pup and started out feeding her Iams brand puppy food. She didn't seem very interested in the food at all but would eventually eat some of what was placed in her bowl. At her first visit to the vet she was...
Pros: First three ingredients are meat Cons: Harder to find
I have an Old English Sheepdog puppy. I transferred him relatively quickly to this food from another brand and no problems. He is healthy, active and he loves the food. Stool is firm with this also. First three ingredients are meat words, so a good thing. I just wish it was easier to find. Only one store I know of carries it.
Energy! Energy! Energy! Energy! Energy!!!!!!!!!!! by a_a_grimme ,Feb 07 '05
Pros: Boundless energy * Price comparable with lesser quality well-known brands * Human-grade food Cons: Hard to find * Energy needs to be released or dog will go stir crazy
I've been feeding Innova Puppy Dry to my 10-month-old black lab mix for about 2 months. I cannot believe the energy he has. We take him for 2 hour walks/runs and afterward it's like he didn't even go. He just wants to keep going and going. I'm thinking about trying this stuff myself--it really doesn't smell half bad (just kidding, of course). I think he also doesn't need to relieve himself as much as he used to because of the high nutrient value of Innova. The only problem is that Innova gives him so much energy that it must be released or he'll go stir crazy. As for the price, it is comparable to lesser (but still decent) quality brands such as Science Diet, Iams, or Puirina Pro Plan. Innova is just hard to find and the couple of mom & pop pet stores I've dealt with have trouble keeping it in stock. So, you may have to order from an on-line store. However, I'd still check the little pet mom & pop pet stores every so often to save on shipping charges.
Excellent puppy food choice by lsailor ,Jul 25 '04
Pros: Natural, healthy ingredients, dog loves it! Cons: Pricey, hard to find
I have a 9 month old puppy that I was feeding Nutro Natural Choice to since he was 10 weeks old, I noticed about a month and a half ago that his skin was getting dry and he was sneezing a lot. A "natural" pet store I frequent gave me 3 different samples of foods to try - he LOVED the Innova dry puppy food immediately. Since I've made the switch to Innova his fur is softer and his skin less dry. Innova really is a great product that my puppy seems to enjoy.
Perfect for the Picky Puppy! by eyecandy007 ,Mar 06 '07
Pros: Natural ingredients Cons: pricey but worth it
My family and I just got a puppy and he was quite picky as what he liked to eat, we tried just about everything. I was suggested to try this product and to my surprise he ate every last drop! I also like this product because of the ingredients that it has, all natural. I spare no expense buying the best for my dog because I want him to be healthy and happy. My puppy's coat has a great shine to it!
Pros: Ingredients, Natural, no fillers Cons: Poopy Butt!
We just got a Boston Terrier puppy. The breeder we got him from left us no food or instructions, so we chose to go with Innova. I expected stomach upset, but we're on our third week of sporadic diarrhea and terrible gas. While I have faith in the product and believe it works for most dogs, I think it's time to admit it just doesn't work for ours.
-------
Update, after weeks of escalating diarrhea we decided to try changing the method in which we fed him Innova. Instead of three medium sized meals a day, we only give him tiny amounts in his Kong at a time. And while his gas is still... horrifying, we saw an instant improvement. I don't think we'll be switching over any time soon.
I have a 4 month old german shepherd puppy, when I bought her her breeder was feeding her Purina Puppy Chow "YUK" I couldn't wait to switch her but I knew I had to do it slowly. I originally switched her to California Natural Puppy Lamb & Rice formula because my doberman is eating C N Adult food, I immediately noticed how good she was starting to look but she started not liking the C N Puppy she was picking the C N Food out of her bowl & eating te raw chop meat & carrots that I also mixed in her food. I wanted to stay with the same company so I tried Innova Puppy & she loved it, she is inhaling it along with the carrots I mix in her food & the raw meat.
The company which is Natura has helped me a lot by me emailing them with questions their customer service is wonderful!!
