The book starts off in the very beginning when Delta Force was created. Eric Haney was a ranger then and was asked if he would like to be a part of the new secret CT (Counter terrorism) force that was being created. Haney explains to the reader the rigors that Delta operators must endure during Selection. After Selection he details the missions that gives the reader a great perspective on what REALLY happened.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is a military enthusiast and interested in understanding the inner workings of the most covert agency in the world. Haney elaborates in great detail what this specially trained unit is capable of doing. It is amazing and sometimes hard to even possibly fathom how these men are that damn good at their job. This knowledge is important, but especially today where world events revolve solely around terrorism in this post 9-11 world. I promise you, after reading Inside Delta Force, you will feel much better about this country and how well equipped we are in defeating terrorists and thus winning the War on Terror.
