Pros: Takes good looking pictures, video input, works perfect under low light. Cons: Does not work with Windows XP!
I should have reviewed this product at least five years ago at the height of its popularity. Due to my lack of timing I have perhaps missed out on all the glowing remarks the Intel CS430 deserves. On a Windows 98 platform, the CS430 was the ...
Pros: small size, shutter over the lens, clarity, quality, light-sensitivity, mobility, video input Cons: the cord length
The Intel Pro PC Camera is about the best value out there for the money for a person seeking a great quality webcam for a reasonable price. The quality of this cam FAR exceeds that of the most expensive Logitec cameras. I have mine set to refresh on my...
I have had this web cam for over 3 years. I bought one at Office Depot for $20. Later I bought two more from Frys Electronics for the same price for relatives. We have used this web cam for a lot more than what we paid. Most of our family back in Ind ...
Pros: Great Price! Adaptable! Great Bottom! Cons: Typical Resolution
I had the previous version of this, and was I ever happy about discovering the new function of this little gadget:
- Feeds images/video from TV/Camera/Video machine.
This feed depends on how good your TV/Video/Camera is.
The little...
Pros: better-than-expected picture quality; easy to use; relatively sturdy Cons: requires very good lighting conditions; occasionally locks up on Yahoo messenger
I decided to pick up a webcam just for the hell of it, to have a way to videoconference with some of my friends on Yahoo Messenger and to take basic digital snapshots if I needed. The Intel Deluxe PC Camera has definitely fit the bill, and has better...
Pros: Excellent optics Cons: Being discontinued by manufacturer & support announced only until Sept 2003
No microphone
We recently ventured into webcasting and videophone with this product. At first, we purchased the Video Pro model, but found that the only additional feature was a built-in mic, and this was available at 1/3 the cost of the higher-end unit.
Pros: Crisp video & pics, tripod mount, external video-in jack Cons: None!
Umm? I would like to inform every one that I am successfully using this cam on winxp & have been for 2 years now! All I did was plug it in & it was ready to go! I've owned this cam for approx 3 years & it is the best I've ever owned! Everyone ...
Pros: Resolution
Color
Compatibility with XP
Reverse Scan Converter Cons: None
Hi, Yes, there is a software problem with the software that came initially packaged with the CS430 Webcam back when Windows 98 was the OS. That software does NOT work on Windows XP. And Microsoft is so good, that they have recorded that (and ...
Pros: 30 FPS, good video capture resolution, lens cover Cons: Included software not XP compatible
I have one, It is great for a personal web cam. The video in jack is a big plus. I use XP and the camera works fine using windows movie maker, or any Instant messenger service. The create and share software however, is not designed for XP. You can run the "program compatibility wizard", and it will usually work. I found using movie maker to capture video clips , compile and edit them is very simple. XP will recognize the camera just by plug and play, and will allow you to take snapshots with software control, but the time lapse and other features are not available. With 98 all features are available and the included software works as designed. The camera itself is one of the best, too bad it's been discontinued!
Pros: The lux ratting on this camera is wonderful. Cons: No it does not have a mic built in.
I personal feel the Intel PC pro CS430 Is one of the best web cams ever made for the money, No it does not have a mic built in. but the best and most attractive feature is no the RCA input jack on the back that excepts video from a cam corded or VCR, but the fact the camera works at such a low lighting level, The lux ratting on this camera is wonderful and will deliver video under candle light. I have used the camera on windows 98, Me, and XP. There have been no major conflict issues. I have purchased other cameras much more expensive and returned then to the place of purchase, I have not be able to find a better camera for the money.
Although in all other ways... by nicky_dt3004 ,Oct 29 '02
Although in all other ways it continued to function rather well, the actual camera broke in about four months of recieving it, which was a big disappointment.
There is a port in the back of the camera that allows you to connect a normal camcorder to the computer. I have used material recorded elsewhere in the software included with the webcam. I have also used the camcorder in "NetMeeting".
