NOT a true TFT screen
by holliday360 ,Oct 17 '07
Pros: Nice and easy to use, but forget about seeing the screen outdoors. Cons: Screen absolutely sucks when you go outside, you can't see a thing on it.
If anyone thinks they are getting a real TFT (Transflective) screen with the Palm TX, think again. Personally I think there should be a class-action lawsuit against Palm for advertising it on their website as having a 'TFT screen'. It's absolute BULL. This is anything BUT true TFT, it completely washes out in sunlight. Go take a look at a Garmin GPS TFT screen and you will see TRUE TFT technology, their screen gets brighter, crisper, more defined and much easier to see even in direct sunlight.
If you need to see your Palm screen outdoors, forget it with the TX, you'll need alot of shade or you should go indoors to see the screen. What a complete disappointment.
