Pros: A reasonably priced alternative to a pool; just as fun! Cons: There isn't a heating element for the colder days.
So, what do you do if you plead, whine, argue and even beg your spouse to get an in ground swimming pool and you still get that resounding, "NO!" Well, you then set your sights on smaller ideas and get an above ground pool, right? WRONG! You get an...
Pros: Quick set up, spacious for children, affordable. Cons: Needs cleaning and chemical maintenance frequently, no heater
When my parents offered to put us up for a month this summer, as our new house awaited completion, it became quickly apparent that they were going to try and fit in all of the "spoiling" they could while we were visiting. The first order of grandparent...
Pros: easy set up, easy maintenance, lots of fun Cons: pricey, need to buy extras for maintenance
We purchased this pool last summer. My daughter and her friends swam in it many times last summer and we drained it and stored it in the garage for the winter. We set up the pool again about two weeks ago and it is still just perfect. It is a great ...
Pros: Truly easy to set up; large enough for adults to float comfortably Cons: maintenance and chemicals
I bought the 12' x 36" easy set pool last year at Wal-mart for around $129. I also bought a ladder and pool cover. The pool didn't come with a ground cover and I highly suggest you buy a tarp to protect the underside from rocks and twigs that you might...
Pros: Cheap fun for your kids! It is safe! Cons: Upkeep is very expensive.
We purchased this pool for our kids (and us) last year late summer. Unbelievably it held up really well outside over the winter. My kids absolutely love this thing. We live in a state without much water that is safe to swim in, so we wanted to have ...
Pros: Price, if you can get it set up! Cons: Everything
I bought this pool after reading all the reviews on here, we thought it would be great summer fun.....Boy did we find out we were wrong! I was so excited to get this pool I went to Walmart and bought it home got home my husband who does landscaping found a level area of the yard A MUST. We set it up according to directions started filling and within a few short minutes it was lopsided and would have never filled right, so we hooked it up to drain it and it was a complete pain to drain! Once we finally got it drained, we moved it checked the spot and it stilled showed level but we thought we better move it to another level spot in the yard, set up again and began to fill, AGAIN lopsided, by this time we were soaked in sweat as this thing ways a ton. We drained it threw it in a garbage bag and took it back toWalmart for a refund. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!
Pros: Inexpensive. Easy to set up. Good size. Cons: High maintenance. Takes forever to fill. Extremely heavy.
We bought the larger form of this pool a couple of months ago. It was relatively easy to set up and we were in it in no time. It's a great buy and I would recommend it to almost anyone. One thing bad about it is that it requires a lot of maintenance... You have to keep it fully chlorinated or be ready for a green pool. We just had to drain it and clean it out completely. I am refilling it as I type now. This time we plan on keeping it well maintained! Hopefully no more green. :)
