Iomega does the job well

Pros: Looks cool, works great, quiet, brand name, comes with free software
Cons: Big, relatively expensive, slow proprietary software (HotBurn)
Here's the (2 years old) system it's being used on:

Athlon 900 Mhz
256MB RAM
Win XP

Excellent external drive, highly recommended

Pros: Fast, USB 2.0 compatibility, external
Cons: none really except that nowadays there are faster drives out there
I always needed a cd-rw drive as my hard drive because more and more full of things that definitely needed to be burned onto cds, and then I received this as a present. I've had this drive for about 6 months now, and have been very pleased with it...
