Pros: Beautiful design, tiny size, light weight, battery power Cons: Sound quality and volume could be a bit better, no easy way to transport.
The Background I have a lot of experience with bluetooth headsets. I was that guy who had the bluetooth headset three years ago when noone knew what bluetooth was and people thought I was talking to myself. I've owned a large number of ...
Pros: Lightweight, simple clean design and quality audio with noise-cancelling feature. Cons: None - if you relate the price to the product quality it is justified
(with apologies to Mae West for the title above…) I have always thought the people I had seen walking around with headsets were either Madonna wannabes or Geeks with a capital “G” -- several times I thought I was standing next to a crazy person talking ...
Pros: Extremely small and light, great looks and performance Cons: None. Exceeds expectations.
The Jabra JX10 is the most recent in a long line of Bluetooth headsets I've tried over the last few years. I've tried most of the types out there - those with molded-gel ear-pieces, those with speakers that sit on the outside of the ear, those that hang ...
Pros: Lightweight, great sound and clarity. Cons: Buttons are too small, flimsy ear hook and large earpiece in uncomfortable
I already own a Jabra Free Speak 250 and I like the sound quality and the comfort of the ear piece so I decided to try the JX10 because it is a bit smaller than the 250.At first glance it is hard to imagine a headset that is so small could offer good ...
Pros: Great design, sound, size, ease of use Cons: Size is small so it is easy to loose
Look no further for the best bluetooth headset! I have gone through five other headsets including other Jabra models and always experienced problems. They would always break! Not this one, after having it for a few days I dropped it in about half an ...
Pros: Extremely small and lightweight, long battery life Cons: Poor range, doesn't fit in my ear, earhook is very breakable
The JX10 exceeded my expectations for size and weight. Honestly I keep forgetting whether or not I'm wearing it. But... The earhook snapped in two as soon as I put it over my ear. It's back together now with a piece of tape, and Jabra is sending ...
Pros: light weight; comfortable; stays in place, excellent sound quality Cons: Wish it had a hard protective case to put it in my pocket
This is the second day I have had this unit, so I cannot yet comment on durability and reliability. I own a Sanyo Katana phone and this bluetooth is awesome. The buttons are small, but what would you expect on such a small piece.
My last bluetooth was the Motorolla with the flip-out boom-mic. I miss the easy on and off feature but nothing else. The Jabra is so light weight that it is very comfortable. This is from someone who does not even like the Ipod earbuds. The piece that goes around your ear is adjustable. I can wear this for hours. I was always taking off the Moto. Also, this thing feels glued to my head whereas the Moto always felt like it would come off.
I got this for $85 at Buy.com so I can say it is SOOOOOOOO worth the money.
Best yet...w/ a few exceptions by hth001 ,Feb 05 '07
Pros: Good sound, lightweight. Cons: Flimsy ear hook
I have been using the JX10 for about 5 months and with a few exceptions it is the best wireless headset I have used. Sound quality is good even outside or in the car with the windows open. Size is great - lightweight, hardly know it is there and easy to slip into my pocket when not using it. Being able to recharge it from my notebook - priceless. Yes, the volume buttons are small but I never use them (adjust volume via my blackberry). However, the button to turn it on/off and to disconnect from a call fit perfect between my thumb and forefinger.
The exceptions - the ear hook is flimsy and comes off very easily. Fortunately, its lightweight makes it easy to leave on your ear for extended periods. The clear piece of plastic covering the flashing light (blue, red, green) came off last week. What does that mean - I don't know but there is now an opening to allow dirt, dust, etc.... inside the unit.
Overall, very pleased and would purchase it again.
I bought this becoz of its looks & light weight but
I'm very disappointed as after using for an hour or so
it started to hurt ear. The earpiece is very
un-comfortable.
In my view its the design of earpiece is to blame. If
the earpiece was little smaller & fitted with soft
gel instead of hard rubbery material it would be just
perfect bluetooth headset.
Pros: Very small & light headset
Good volume
Great customer service (at least in Hong Kong) Cons: Expensive
I bought this headset for my girlfriend for christmas last year, and it works great. But best experience has been with the customer service. I accidentally snapped the small wire that goes around the ear, and they replaced it no questions asked. Our cats chewed through the charger cable, and they gave us a new charger for free and fixed the headset for free . They also gave us an option to pay $25 USD to replace it with a new headset.
Frequent ear loop breakage, requires quiet environment to operate well by tigerinsf ,Mar 31 '07
Pros: Light weight, small Cons: works poorly in ANY ambient noise, ear loop breaks frequently, not comfortable
I've used this headset for about 6 months - there are a number of serious drawbacks to the unit and I recommend that you NOT purchase it.
The first is that it can't easily be use in an environment where there is any significant ambient noise without receiving complaints from the person you are calling (I've resorted to using a $10 wired earpiece from Target, when in the car).
Secondly, the ear loop is grossly under-designed and frequently breaks. Once you see how small and fragile the clasp is that holds the ear loop to the headset, you will immediately expect that it would break. Candidly, I can't believe that anyone would engineer such a fragile clasp. Jabra will send out a replacement, two actually, but they have yet to correct the problem. You should expect to break an ear loop every 1-2 months in normal use.
Pros: All around performance in a small very lite package. Cons: Volume could still be increased.
Ear hook but their website offering 2 free ones.
Works well and is so lite you almost forget your wearing it. Audio quality is is very good for it's size. It beats my Motorola BT H605 by a mile. Little to no static, battery seems to last longer, and slightly louder. The ear hook is my biggest issue. Wish it held a little more securely.
