A good step up.

Pros: Rock bottom price. Meets most needs well. NiMh battery. Cons: Does not come with video cords
I bought the model below this one as it was the cheapest Walmart had and the feature difference seemed to be only the lack of a S-VHS connection and a slight difference in zoom. My main use is for video projection with a PowerPoint projector for class work. Not the best for the application but dollars are tight. I decided that the video with the RCA connections was too grainy so traded it for this model with S-VHS. No cord came with the camera but only cost $7.00 for a 12 footer. The S-VHS gave noticeably better resolution. The only disappointment that I have is that it shuts down after being on for a few minutes. This does not happen when recording so for it's intended use, this is not a concern. The controls and menu are pretty easy to use. I bought it not only based on price but I trust the JVC name. I give it a thumbs up.
