JVC KD-NX5000

by sauruskhan , Aug 19 '08
Pros: many features: radio, GPS navigation, DVD/DivX/CD/Mp3 player, single DIN form factor
Cons: no touchscreen, GPS loses position ~5mph, won't allow route changes in motion

Technology-Packed Head Unit

by rxkevin , Apr 18 '07
Pros: Sharp screen, navigation, bluetooth, ability to store 400+ CD's on the unit.
Cons: Installation difficult because of the speed sensor hookup, owners manual could be better written.

Wonderfully integrated single DIN NAV, DVD, HDD
by danq1 ,May 03 '07
Pros: So many features is such a small package
Cons: Slow to copy CD onto Hard Disk
I think this is a wonderful single din solution. My car doesn't lend itself to a double DIN NAV or DVD so I've been waiting for something like this. Install went very well but be aware some Fords may require a speed pulse generator as my Ford's PCM VSS signal didn't work with the JVC.

It is slow to copy a CD to the hard disk drive so I've been better off ripping my CDs to MP3 and creating a data cd to copy onto the HDD.

This unit has everything you'd need in a single DIN package. I love it
