I bought this sewing machine for my daughter last Christmas. It is so easy to use. She has sewn clothes for our dog as well as her doll. My sewing machine had to get new part so I borrowed her sewing machine. I was so impressed with the stitch quality and the machine overall. I think this machine is the best beginner machine for little girls out there. For the price, it can't be beat!

Pros: Works like a champ. Nice quiet. Small and lightweight. Very simple to use. Reasonably priced.
Cons: Should not have waited so long to find this machine. Otherwise, no cons from here.

This little machine is wonderful! I just recently finished making a Raggedy Ann doll and clothes including sewing the yarn hair and it sewed perfectly. I am so pleased that I just had to share. I was looking for a machine as a lightweight backup and chose this model 11706 after comparing and reading other reviews. It is so simple to thread and operate. Just follow the simple directions, treat it with respect and it will work like a champ.

This is a FABULOUS machine. I bought it because a friend has one, and she loved it so much she sold her fancy computerized machine and just uses this. I'm tempted to follow suit myself. It's light weight, so it's great for taking to classes. It's Janome quality all the way, shrunk down to an easy to carry size. Uses all standard Janome feet. Has all the basic stitches that you use most often.
