Pros: Good size, able to stand up, easy to set up Cons: too heavy for backpacking
This tent is simply amazing. It is the closest thing I can find to having your own RV. Lets start off with a little background. I love camping. I have been camping in Oregon and Washington since I was a kid. Unfortunately the camping I was ...
Pros: Large, roomy, low price, solid. Cons: Heavy, not for backpacking, pain to clean
My wife saw this tent at Sam's Club for $137. It looked like a steal but I wanted to do research. Like the other reviewer here there isn't much information on it. But the reviews here and the price sold me. We just set it up in the backyard for the ...
Pros: Closets, Metal Stakes included, bag extender, wheeled carrying bag Cons: The tent is heavy, and its large,(expected for a tent this size).
I had my eye on this tent for about a year before I had a reason to buy it. As soon as the reason came up, I bought it without hesitation (thanks to the others who reviewed it before me). I set it up in my backyard first to give it some extra scotch ...
Pros: Very Versatile, Sets up easily, Tons of room, Stays dry, Lots of neat extra features. Cons: Difficult at times to get back in bag, Could provide a sturdier mallet.
First of all, any of the "reviewers" that took 45 minutes to set this tent up, need to stay out of the woods. This is a very simple tent to put up. As far as staking any of the guide lines, only the 2 window wells and the 2 vent duct windows require ...
Pros: Spacious, closets, gear rack, easy zip windows, did not leak. Couldn’t find a better tent! Cons: Absolutely None! I would have paid double for this tent we like it so much.
We have had our Jeep tent set up 17 times in 2005 and enjoyed each camping trip! While shopping at Sam’s Club my husband and I came across this spacious tent in the outdoor isle of the club. First we were amazed at the size... 17x11! Thinking it ...
Pros: Very Roomy.Lots of Windows. Cons: Confusing Instructions.
We drove 2 hours away to the nearest Sams Club that actually carried this tent. After reviewing the only other place you can find it for sale on E-Bay. It was cheaper to drive to Sams Club. Plus if we didnt like it we could always take it back. For the ...
Pros: big rooms, the closets, the easy assembly, the cyclone window open. Cons: The Fly (top cover) cuts out some of the air flow
We got our tent for Christmas in 2005. Last year we used it about 10 time even in the fall. It is roomy, comfortable and my husband and I can put the whole tent up in about 15 minutes. The more we use it the more we love it. Each time we put it up ...
Pros: Roomy, lots of cool features, stays dry, convenient carry case. Cons: Heavy, not for back packing.
I read this persons review and would like to respond. First of all this person took this tent out one time, had difficulty setting it up, blamed it on faulty poles and long set up and then took it back. I purchased this tent in August 2005. I had ...
Pros: HUGE tent! Lots of great features. Love the organization it offers. Great rolling bag. Cons: Inside sleeping area door zippers too high off the ground.
I managed to set this thing up in my living room after moving all of the furniture to the sides and was able to set up everything except the closets. It is absolutely huge. I camp often with my 4 boys ranging in age from 4 to 12, so I wanted something ...
Pros: Huge,Stands up to moderate inclement weather and easy set up Cons: trip hazards, akward to transport
I have reviewed this tent before but now have a great deal more experience with it. This time we had some wind and rain to add to the mix. The tent performed admirably and I was glad to have it. Now that I have more experience setting it up I can say you ...
Pros: Size, screened sitting area, bay windows, closets, construction, sky lights Cons: Heavy when packed(rollers on bag help), 2 people to set up
Purchased this tent at the end of last year. Took about 30 -40 minutes to set up fist time in the back yard with two people. Set up again before going camping and took approx 20-25 minutes including securing tie offs. This tent is huge and has plenty of ...
Pros: Very big and roomy, nice to have the separate porch area. Cons: Somewhat heavy, but manageable anyway.
I am a 40+ female and bought this tent for a competitive sporting event I attended away from home. I set it up in my back yard first...and was able to do it by myself!! (The top was challenging, but I was able to do it). It takes about one hour alone. I also was able to take it down and pack it away without help. I guess with two people it should REALLY be a snap!!! The screen porch was awesome for sitting and watching TV....but I really liked being able to stand up, get dressed, and stretch in the bedroom portion. The closets are awesome too.
Pros: SPACE! Easy to construct. Airflow is great! Cons: Zipper Pulls have come off. Rain fly too small
The Jeep 3 room dome tent pictured above was actually made by North Pole Limited. I have found this out by trying to track down some zipper pulls for my tent. I contacted Sierra Designs and they have confirmed they did not make this tent.
About the tent itself, I still absolutely love my tent after using for the past two years. My husband and I live out of it for a couple of weeks each May for a festival we attend. We have survived freezing temps, temps above 90 degrees, downpour rains, and tornado warning (nearby) storms in this tent. It has held up admirably! The only problems we've had is a couple of zipper pulls that have come off. Highly recommend the product!
My family of four has used this tent for going on 3 years now and we seem to be the envy of our friends. We are the only tent campers among our friends who all own campers. Our tent is larger than some of their campers. This tent has been pretty well described and is very easy to erect. When we camp we are usually set up for a week and have to be ready for the rain so we always cover the tent with a tarp in addition to the tent fly. We just came back from a trip where the temperature varied from the low twenties to upper 70's. We didn't have any problems whatsoever and would highly recommend the tent. The one reviewer that indicated problems would have to be an exception and not the rule for this tent. When we camped at Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains a couple of years ago we had trouble fitting the tent on their tents pads. One of the camp hosts told us that their tent sites were not intended for "Condominium Tents".
